Hello sweetie! I'm sorry this took so long to get to you and the mods had to talk about this for quite a bit.
Unfortunately, your app has been rejected. There are several areas that we felt could really be improved upon and they are listed as the following:
Firstly, your ethnicity is wrong. Though the people from Hong Kong would hate to be called this, they are technically 'Chinese' as Hong Kong is still part of China. Unlike Taiwan, who is likewise still technically of China, Hong Kong operates under China's government and system and depends largely on them. Hong Kong does not operate on its own like an independent nation and hence, 'Hong Konger' isn't exactly an ethnicity.
Secondly, there are quite a few personality traits that Xia Min possesses which contradicts the lifestyle and culture of the people living in Hong Kong. You mentioned that Xia Min does not 'believe in luck or charms', but the truth is that the Chinese (I will use the term Chinese in this app) are a rather superstitious bunch, especially the ones in Hong Kong. They purchase 4Ds, they pray to gods for winning numbers, they have charms and talisman etc. Hetalia is about stereotypes; though we don't want to go to the extreme end of it, we would still like to see cultural 'identities' present in the characters. Another cultural inaccuracy would be Xia Min's acts of retaliation against force. While, yes, it is understandable that she can be headstrong and independent, the general 'philosophy' of Asian countries (especially those with Chinese roots) is that we respect authority. We might not like work being forced upon us, and we might put up a little fuss and fit, but in the end, we will still cave in. We are not as 'forceful' as the Westerners and even the riots in this region are lesser and milder than those in the West. While I'm aware that there have been riots in Hong Kong about the working condition, those riots have never had an extremely lasting or moving impact and most of the workers simply go on with their life as usual. Put this into a character's personality, and Xia Min would more likely be a reluctant worker who still does work given to her, albeit begrudgingly.
The contradiction between Xia Min's confidence and insecurity is also rather baffling. She believes in herself but considers herself a waste of space? I understand contradictions are perfectly human, however, they are also make sense most of the time. For example, Xia Min could be confident, but insecure about her looks, or you could tone it down just a little by saying that she's a confident girl who has her occasional moments of doubts and insecurities. It is quite hard for someone to be both confident and insecure constantly at the same time. If you want to play upon how she's constantly insecure, you could say that she fakes confidence and tries to motivate herself, but ultimately falls short.
Lastly, we want to talk about how Xia Min dislikes the Chinese (the ones from mainland China). Well, yes, I can understand that statement and true enough, people from Hong Kong do dislike the Chinese. However, I'm Singaporean and I can say the exact same thing for us here, but I did not include that into my app for Singapore. We do not want to promote any racism and it feels odd for a character to dislike people just because they are from a certain ethnicity, especially when this is a human AU. I can understand if she dislikes our Yao due to personal incidents between the two, but we're trying to avoid racism on the forum of disliking a general group of people just for being born in a certain place. The same goes for her dislike for the Japanese. Similar issues here in Singapore, but 'Clara' doesn't have those traits.

Seriously ok. First of all, I want to point out how I really like how balanced Vesna's personality is. She's got a lot of tough but it's just enough to not be over-bearing. In addition, you kinda rounded and molded her to be soft on the edges, which I like because it adds more depth to an otherwise 'flat' character. You know what I mean--the archetype of 'tough girl whoa' has been around for so long but you managed to drop that tint of naivete to make her believable. Also, her backstory is soo quaint and cute! It's a nice slice of life, showing the rustic Balkan life. It's a sweet and trying story of her life and I really enjoy seeing these softer, more realistic histories. She's got a lot of potential to shine! We'll welcome her to TND with open arms!

Hello thereee. I can't believe we have a Luxembourg so I was super duper excited to read her application.
Okay so I will incorporate a bit of knowledge I know about the tiny country. Though the city/country itself is extremely polished and grandiose in nature, I like how you watered its representation in her personality. You managed to show Luxembourg's humble beginnings and all the events of 'cultural toughness' and distilled it into a character, which is pretty neat. She's really sweet here from what I can tell yet she's also got that little twist because of her occupation. She's got all these little, subtle symbolism stuff (WELL MAybe it's just me) and so it's just really exciting to net out. Anyway I am really excited to see nicer girls shine through!
