The rules are as follows:
1) Hiatuses are still allowed, but must be renewed each AC period. Please notify us whether you are still on hiatus or not here.
2) You may only declare a hiatus for writing block/lost writing muse for three consecutive ACs. If you're unable to post for them after three ACs, they will be dropped.
3) The word minimum is 300 words per post. We're counting!
4) Any post made on and after January 23rd is valid.
5) The due date for this sweep is February 15th.
6) Characters who have failed to complete the check on the 18th (which includes a 3-day grace period), but are still interested in keeping their characters will need to submit two posts in the following AC {March}. If they fail to do so, they will have to submit a total of three posts in the next AC {April}. These additional posts are fluid, and will carry over to the next AC if you miss them (ex: one person has to submit two posts for a certain AC, but only submits one. The incomplete post will carry over to the next AC, meaning that the member must complete two again).
7) If you miss this AC and plan to submit additional posts for the next one, either post below with your intention or inform a mod. If you do not, your character will not be deleted, but will be opened on the reservations list and priority will be given to someone who reserves. Character names followed with an exclamation mark (!) means they're opened in the Reservation List.
8) Characters that exceed three posts, meaning they have missed three ACs without taking a hiatus, will be opened on the reservations list. Members must wait a period of one month before they can reclaim their character, and should inform a mod if they intend to do so. If not, the character's account and threads will be removed at the beginning of the next AC.
9) Posts made on the 23rd to the end of the month will count towards the following sweep.

So, first things first, as we've informed the Scotland: we would like it if you refrained from using Berwald's accent/speech tic too often (this for readability and accuracy, though I can't personally testify to how a Swedish accent sounds). Feel free to describe the fact that they have an accent in your app or posts, unless you feel like you absolutely need to use some sort of accent to convey distress or strong emotion. Rest assured, this is not your fault: we have not yet officially instated it as a rule, but it will eventually be applied universally. That said, I really love the way you've written Sweden here! Here he is precisely the teddy bear with a scary face that I like seeing him portrayed as, mainly because it's simply adorable. You've also tied in his backstory very well; obviously his experiences have very much shaped him as a person and affected the way he acts. In the end, Ber is just such a genuinely decent soul and I think we have a serious need for that.

Yay, welcome back, Cap! We're quite excited to have Iain back with us, and this time as a lawless no less (really, all you need to do is get Estelle back and they'd be a perfect pair). There is one minor quibble, as we have been discussing removing accents from use, since, depending on the accent, they may be difficult to comprehend, inaccurate, or outright offensive. I love that he has such a connection to his home country still, and that a lot of his motives stem from that; it seems very in line with all the Scottish romanticists. For glory and nation, eh?

 NO ACTIVITY CHECK!People are dying of finals around this time and are also usually busy with family things on the holidays, so we're putting the AC on hold. We'll also go through and clear some people of owing multiple posts for next AC {January}, but we will only do so if we have some indication you are still alive (speaking with us on Skype or FB, showing up on cbox, posting recently, etc.) If you need this figured out feel free to contact a mod or post on this thread to let us know you're still around.
