Kat has been doing this work for roughly 6 years, so Nat probably has known this for a while. We can make it like this: Ivan got shot and goes to Kat's house --> Kat calls Nat --> tearjerking reunion
how's that shound? owo

велике спасибі Katyusha stared blankly at the wall. It was really hard keeping her eyes open. Drowsiness making her work harder to do, so she sat and asked a coworker to buy her coffee. She yawned, thinking about the stray birds who came past midnight and interrupted her sleep. Two people had shown up at her front door, one with a wounded arm. While she tended the wound, they told her that someone might had been following them. She told them that her house is a safe house for everyone, although she knew it'd make anyone who followed them think the nurse was in their side. There was no need to worry about her own safety as her boss was taking care of that. Still, she was a bit worried about the two guys. Katyusha left the house together with them and went separate ways at the bus stop. A nurse, Jane, approached and placed a cup of coffee on the table. "Thank you." The Ukrainian woman accepted it and started talking to her coworker. The other nurse proceeded to tell her that she had seen a man wandering inside the hospital. "He seems lost," Jane told her. "I bet he's not a patient or a family member visiting. I've passed him about twice but he didn't come to me to ask for directions or something." The blonde nodded. It's not visiting hours anyway. Though if he only needed directions or going to bathroom, he could ask a security at the front door. Jane reluctantly announced that she had to go back to work. "Maybe you should help him. You're good with strangers," she added before leaving Katyusha alone. As she drank her coffee, she regretted for not asking her more about the lost guy. But it's not a big deal. Someone else would notice him sooner or later. And Katyusha had some work to do. She took her empty cup with her and left the cafeteria, passing other visitors and coworkers on her way out.

велике спасибі She couldn't help but notice a difference in his expression once she inquired about his company. Katyusha shrugged it aside, thinking that it's common for people to become more serious when talking business. But something was amiss, something was... wrong. The nurse raised her head a little higher, looking at the man across the table straight at his eyes. "Look. I think it's safe to say I can trust you." Her body suddenly tensed. She lowered down her hand slowly until the cup hit the table with a soft thud. That was not a voice of some ordinary businessman. Katyusha stared at her cup, tracing its edge with her finger. The waiter had refilled it. Her brown reflection on the water stared back while she listened to Jack's words. But... safe to trust her? Her eyes narrowed, then they widened immediately when he continued. "I know what you are doing at night." Her hand moved abruptly, knocking the cup and spilling its content on the table. Katyusha held an urge to push her chair back and leave the restaurant at once. She should have predicted this. Panic began to grow within her and her heart was beating faster. Even if the Ukrainian woman managed to exit the building, Jack's underlings might prevent her from escaping. She glanced to her purse. If she tried to take her phone and make a call, her movement would be too obvious. Katyusha wasn't sure if there were no men stationed nearby who's ready to take action if she behaved suspiciously. Playing along seemed to be the best option she had for now. A waiter, Zeng, rushed to clean the mess she had caused. Katyusha sent him an apologetic look before leaning back at her chair. "I see," she muttered. Taking a deep breath, the woman said, "it seems this... talk is not what I've expected at all.""This is a proposition that could benefit the both of us." Jack Chan the charming businessman was changing before her; that was certainly just a disguise, a mask. "You are going to be targeted by other organizations and we have a genuine concern for you. We want to ensure you don't do anything too dangerous or risky and affiliate yourself with..." "I know that," she replied curtly. The warmth in her smile slowly disappeared as the situation was getting more serious. "The White Lotus is interested in protecting your interests, on the condition that you may also provide safe house for our members. You are also to report to us if you receive patients, be it our own or any of the others. I usually don't do these confrontations, but this is very important. In this world you got yourself involved, you have become very valuable... we have been watching you. And so far, we have thwarted one attempt at your life. What do you say? Do you accept our proposition?" Her hands were placed on her lap, curled into fists. "Mr. Chan, I already know that my job is... quite risky," she began, carefully choosing her words, "when I started this job, I chose to remain neutral. My patients' identity is not important; they come to get their wounds treated and my duty is to restore their health. What is their job or whom they are working for is none of my business." She paused to take a deep breath and calm herself. The name White Lotus wasn't unfamiliar for her; she had heard about them several times from her patients. Apparently they were one of the big players in London. "As for my safety, there's no need to worry. My... employer already provides the protection I need. I believe that he is strong enough to handle this matter alone." Still, she couldn't shake the fear of knowing that there's always someone out there who wanted to hurt her. "Maybe you never heard about my employer, but maybe you actually did." She wished he did know about Thotsakan to avoid further questions regarding her boss. Well, Katyusha had explained her reasons. Time for the closing statement. "Thank you for offering me this position, Mr. Chan, you are very kind but I have to decline it. I don't think my employer would like the Nightingale declare her allegiance to someone else but him."She didn't want to do that either way. Feeling a bit relieved, Katyusha reached the glass of water and drank its content. The woman couldn't wait to go home and tell Kasem about this meeting immediately.

I agree with locking the apps to prevent plagiarism, but on the other hand I love to see existing apps in the sites I'm going to join in. So maybe we can lock them and put a sample app with detailed description about what we're looking/expecting from a character. If anyone needed to look at an accepted app (applying as his/her family, for example), maybe we can just PM its history part to the new member - if they haven't made a forum account, hopefully they have a skype/chatango account.

This one is for MONA! She's such an amazing writer and her video editing skill is amazing. Would love to talk to her more if I could beat this timezone ;w; I'm still writing something for you, but I derped and need to edit everything. In the meantime, have this: EDIT: yes, the fic is done! It's Francis/Lili fic, some random human AU. Hopefully they're not OOC ;w; {*puts it here and runs to hide in a bunker*}Francis had a date. And he already prepared everything. He'd send a limousine to pick his date, then they'd enjoy a dinner for two at the best restaurant he had reserved before. Francis smiled at that thought. Reserving the restaurant was the hardest part. The place was always full even on weekdays. He was lucky he had been able to reserve the best table right before someone else did. This would be a good date and he was certain Lili would be happy. He had asked her an important question on their last date, but she needed time to think and promised him she'd give her answer on their next date. Which would be now.
When Francis checked the restaurant at the afternoon, he saw his acquaintance there. Someone he really didn't expect to be seen at a fancy restaurant wearing such an expensive-looking suit: Ludwig Beilschmidt. The French man's greeting was returned with a tired grunt, so he asked Ludwig what's been bothering him.
"I was going to propose..." he cleared his throat, "to Carmen. Had everything planned out. But the restaurant... somehow wrote someone else's name over my reservation." The German proceeded to tell Francis the detail of his plan, which strangely sounded similar to his date plan with Lili.
Of course Francis wanted to help his friend, but on the other hand, he couldn't enjoy his date knowing Ludwig had a problem with his plan. So he approached a waitress and quietly ask that his reservation was given to Ludwig, without mentioning that he did this for him. The other man's plan was more urgent than his, after all. Once Ludwig was told that the best table was given to him, Francis patted his shoulder. "Good luck, Ludwig."
"Wait," the German's voice sounded tense. "I need advice. I know you're good at... this sort of thing," he cleared his throat. "So, advice. Bitte?"
That evening, a voice message was sent to Lili Zwingli's phone: I'm sorry Lili, but it seems we can't have a date tonight. You see, a friend of mine is having a problem...
.
Francis had another date. It's going to be simpler now. He and Lili would meet at a nearby park, have lunch together and watch local artists performing their talents: drama, poetry reading, pantomime and many others. The weather was perfect; the sun was shining and there were thin clouds scattered across the blue sky. Beautiful.
He was about to head outside when his phone rang. Francis picked it up, "hel--"
"Francis," the caller's voice was cold and tense, as if something horrible was happening before their eyes at the moment. His name then followed by a string of curse words, making Francis winced inwardly. He waited until the other person calmed down a bit before asking.
"What's wrong, Arthur? What happened?"
"Peter," Arthur hissed. "I looked to another direction just for a moment and they were gone. Peter and his friends. I tried tracking his phone--he was last seen somewhere near your house..."
Francis instantly knew he had to help searching them. The last time Peter was separated from Arthur, the boy got run over by a car. Sadly, it'd took the whole day to find Peter and his friends, so Francis left a message for Lili: I'm sorry Lili, but it seems we can't have a date today. You see, a friend of mine is having a problem...
.
Yesterday Francis had a long day. He attended meetings and parties, so he was very tired when he came home. And when he woke up today, he was late to his date.
So Francis rushed from the bed, getting himself prepared and then proceeded to leave his house. But alas, as he did so, a strange projectile hit his head out of nowhere. He blacked out and had to stay in bed until the next morning, so he called Lili and said, "I'm sorry Lili, we can't have a date today..."
He began to wonder if the universe didn't want him have a date with Lili.
.
When Francis called Lili about their fourth attempt of date, Lili said she'd send help to him.
"For what?" he inquired.
"So you can arrive safely at my house," Lili answered.
"You don't have to--"
"I insist."
Francis accepted the offer. Still, he's wondering what kind of help Lili would send to him. Hopefully it'd be able to protect him from random projectiles too.
"He certainly would be able to," Lili replied when Francis mentioned about the accident. He couldn't see her from here, but he knew the young woman was smiling. And possibly giggling.
Much to his surprise, it was Vash who showed up at his door. "Come on," he gestured to the outside. "I don't want to make my sister wait too long." The Frenchman thanked him politely. Luckily nothing strange happened during their trip; Francis didn't meet anyone who needed his help or got a call to do so. They arrived, then Vash left Francis at the garden.
Lili exited the house, beaming. "Francis, I'm glad you're finally able to come here." She glanced upwards, concerned. "Is that still hurt? Your head?"
He shook his head, reminded by a couple who were having a fight near his house by throwing flower pots at each other. "By the time I entered this garden, all my wounds are already healed, Lili." Excitement began to build up in his chest. This is it. He finally would get the answer he'd been waiting for days.
Chuckling, his date led him to a table for two. They sat and Lili poured tea for both of them. The girl was unusually nervous and avoided making eye contact, so Francis asked her, "what's wrong? Are you feeling sick?" but deep down he began to think that Lili would give him a negative answer. Especially after he canceled their date three times...
Lili reached for Francis's hand and gently squeeze it. "I was disappointed when you canceled our dates twice," she said softly.
His smile remained, but he could feel his heart sank a little.
"But then I heard from bruder that you did it because other people asked for your help. It... it erased all the doubts I had..." Lili glanced to the house. Francis followed her gaze and saw a glimpse of golden hair behind the window. He thought Vash was listening, but he shrugged it off.
The young woman before him took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "When you told me about the fighting couple and the flower pot, I got a feel the Universe wouldn't let us meet unless bruder agreed with my answer. That's why I asked him to go to your house. I... I guess he already told you my answer..." a faint blush appeared on Lili's cheeks.
"He didn't, Lili," Francis beamed, amused. "Maybe he wants you to tell me in person." He held Lili's hand, already knew what she's going to say. And that knowledge made him glad.
She raised her face, looking straight to his blue eyes. "M-my answer is yes. Yes," she repeated it several times before tears starting to roll down on her cheeks as she laughed happily. "W-we're going to marry."
Without releasing her hand, Francis rose from his chair. He moved closer to Lili's, knelt and kissed his fiancée's forehead. "Thank you," he whispered. Then he took a small box from his pocket and opened it before her, showing a simple gold ring crowned with a sapphire. Lili promptly gave him her hand so he could put the ring on her finger.
"You make me the happiest man in the world."

--Derp--
Fandoms: Hetalia, Tolkien's legendarium (Silmarillion, The Hobbit, LOTR; but preferably the first one), Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Death Note
Characters and OTPs I'd love to see: NetherNesia. FeanorNerdanel. Ukraine. Cameroon. Egypt. India. Mello/Sayu. Wammy boys. Misa Amane. Sayu Yagami being not-plain. NetherNesia. Feanor's son(s). Sauron, eyeball or non-eyeball. Aredhel and Galadriel. Noldorin Elves being not-high-and-mighty. Quendi Elves prior meeting Orome. NetherNesia. 1896. Xanxus/Bianchi. Fon/fem!Mammon. Any minor Hetalia nation characters. Have I mentioned NetherNesia?
Prompts and preferences: canon and AR work just fine for all fandoms and pairings. Any genre and rating is accepted. Straight pairings, if you wanted to add minor ones beside the pairings I've mentioned. Non-pairing: friendships, sibling interaction, non-romantic stuff.
Hetalia: historical. TND AU, Cell Block Tango AU (remember Icy's drawing? I absolutely love Ukraine in there, so it's for Ukraine only), any AU works; be crazy.
Other fandoms: no AUs please.
FeanorNerdanel: first meetings, separation, problems with their son(s), the calm before the storm, reunion, "I am not strong enough to defy the will of the Valar.", anything!
NetherNesia: historical, subtlety; "what lies between the lines.", things left untold, doing a robbery together. Anything works, be wild!
Other pairings: generally, anything works too.
The "nope" factor(s): incest.
Also, no mail stuff please. I'm half a globe awayyyy

велике спасибі For a moment, it looked like the men were ready to harm each other; to kill each other. Both were mere civilians, so Katyusha doubted either of them was carrying some kind of weapon. Her eyes glanced to the bus driver, to the doctor and to the driver again. "S-sir, I think it'd be best if we--"Before she had a chance to finish her words, the ground shook. She was lucky; a nearby dumpster bin provided a support for her body before she completely fell to the ground. Far in the sky, grey smoke was rising from one of the skyscrapers. A rumbling noise was faintly heard, but she covered her ears nonetheless. The nurse's gaze instantly fixed on that tower, her heart racing faster as her brain tried to register what just happened. Loud noise. Tremor. Smoke. Explosion. There was an explosion... and maybe there were people on that building. They must be hurt and scared. They needed help. The building was within walking distance from where Katyusha was. She could reach it if she ran now. Slowly she straightened her back and took several deep breaths to calm herself down. If you're panicked, you can't help people; you're only going to make things worse. “Leave him to the police... I have to go.” The doctor faced her, one hand stretched out. The explosion had made Katyusha forgot why she was here at the first place. He said police... right, they were chasing a bus driver who was nowhere within her sight now. Did he use this chance to escape? A single tear rolled down on her cheek. She couldn't do anything to prevent it; she just failed to save him. But there were people waiting for help in that building. "R-right, sorry..." Katyusha placed his coat on the man's hand. "The p-police will catch him later, I'm s-sure. I... I need to go too." She nodded briefly to him before turning to another direction; walking as fast as she could to the burning skyscraper. She gritted her teeth. If her knee wasn't injured, she could just run. It hurts, but her determined heart wasn't letting her to dwell on her own pain. Katyusha wiped her tears, mumbling to herself. "I hope no one I know is caught in the explosion..."

велике спасибі Pink blossoming slightly on her cheeks as her host continued his flattery. Her work in the hospital wasn't exceptionally outstanding the others'. Katyusha believed there were many nurses in London who were more skilled and experienced in this field than her. And certainly, for an average nurse like her, no privilege was needed to offer something to her. Anyone can offer her a position in the nursing field. Katyusha raised her cup, only to stop in mid-air since it's already empty. She had been sipping it while Jack talked to hide her nervousness. His responses weren't sounded like things men would say in a date. Sure they were laced with compliments, but some of the words were making her forehead crinkled from questioning their meanings. Most of the men whom she had a date with always started with her: hobbies, interests, things she likes and dislikes. But Jack Chan kept mentioning things like opportunity and position. Unless he's going to hire her as a fake temporary girlfriend thing, which was unlikely, Katyusha had no idea what he meant. "It's alright, I didn't have any plans for this night anyway." Except treating an injured stray bird that may or may not came to her house before she left the restaurant, but that's a different matter. Her blue eyes widened in surprise when Jack Chan said he had heard about her from an acquaintance. Chances are this acquaintance was one of the patients or former patients of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, her workplace. The nurse had been working there for more than six years, and even with her good memory it was hard to remember every patients' face she treated in the past. There were some wealthy patients too, so maybe one of them had recommended her to Jack Chan. Whoever they were, they're really kind for making this opportunity available to her. "Oh, this isn't a date at all! As you can see, I am married and I am certain my wife wouldn't look to nicely on me if I decided to go off into the dating arena again. It would look very bad for my reputation as well. And a pretty woman like you, I am certain someone else has an eye for you." A glinting silver ring rested on his right hand, confirming his words. "Oh," Katyusha's lips parted in an O shape. "I am sorry for making such assumption, Mister Chan..." she smiled sheepishly, shaking her head softly. "The only thing that came to my mind upon reading your invitation was a date, so..." Katyusha raised a hand to her lips as she chuckled. "Ah, Mrs. Chan must be a lucky woman to have you as her husband.""I do hope your partner doesn't mind me meeting you under these conditions. I certainly wouldn't be happy if my wife didn't tell me about what business she is, talking with a man in a restaurant like this." A sigh escaped her lips. He just reminded her about her wish to see a ring warmed her cold ring finger. She stared at her unadorned hand, fingers tapping on the table. "You don't have to worry about it. I am not married yet or seeing anyone at the moment. Otherwise, I wouldn't think that this is a date."She tucked some loose strands behind her ear. Now that he already stated that this wasn't a date, the other possibility left is job interview. Judging from the chosen place, maybe he would hire her to work at some big hospital or as a private nurse for a wealthy person. Remembering that it was already written in the invitation, she said, "now that you mention it, I remember you said in your letter that I might be useful for your company. Are you running a hospital or a medical corporation, perhaps?"Of course she usually wouldn't turn down easily such opportunity to work for a bigger wage, but that means she might have less time to do her not so legal side job. Both of her current jobs gave her a steady flow of money, enough to live a decent life. If Jack Chan's offer would require her to move to another place, she had to turn it down. "I am quite satisfied with my job at the hospital now. The pay is good and I still have time to do other activities as well."
