For once in his life, gilbert couldn't believe the tip off he'd gotten. It wasn't from his usual sources, no, it was from a guy in a suit boarding a bus. Now usually he would dismiss things he heard on a bus, but the fact was this one seemed trustworthy. Well, perhaps not told to him directly, but around his proximity. To Gilbert, overheard conversations were fair game. It served them right to have there discussion butted into, especially for talking about private stuff where anyone could hear. That's how he ended up at this hospital.
He had managed to get in a side door and was currently roaming the halls. Each floor was a risk to him, though if he seemed like he knew where he was going, they'd leave him alone, they were to busy to hastle someone who had a destination in mind. And while he didn’t know exactly where, he had an idea of who he was looking for. The most he had been able to pick up from the person on the bus was that his target was female and blonde. A cover story had already been forming in his mind in case he got stopped, one that would hopefully hold up in case a nurse stopped him. Out of the corner of his eyes, Gilbert was observing all the people he saw, hoping to find some clue of what he was looking for. He honestly wished he could have gotten more information from the man in the suit, but this would have to do. It was just a simple information hunt, to see if he could find any proof of what the man claimed. Worst case scenario was that this was a bust and he had snuck into the hospital for nothing. At least he could go and eat at the cafeteria, while the food delivered to the rooms wasn’t usually that great, the stuff actually served to the rest of the workers was usualy pretty decent, or so he heard.

велике спасибі Katyusha stared blankly at the wall. It was really hard keeping her eyes open. Drowsiness making her work harder to do, so she sat and asked a coworker to buy her coffee. She yawned, thinking about the stray birds who came past midnight and interrupted her sleep. Two people had shown up at her front door, one with a wounded arm. While she tended the wound, they told her that someone might had been following them. She told them that her house is a safe house for everyone, although she knew it'd make anyone who followed them think the nurse was in their side. There was no need to worry about her own safety as her boss was taking care of that. Still, she was a bit worried about the two guys. Katyusha left the house together with them and went separate ways at the bus stop. A nurse, Jane, approached and placed a cup of coffee on the table. "Thank you." The Ukrainian woman accepted it and started talking to her coworker. The other nurse proceeded to tell her that she had seen a man wandering inside the hospital. "He seems lost," Jane told her. "I bet he's not a patient or a family member visiting. I've passed him about twice but he didn't come to me to ask for directions or something." The blonde nodded. It's not visiting hours anyway. Though if he only needed directions or going to bathroom, he could ask a security at the front door. Jane reluctantly announced that she had to go back to work. "Maybe you should help him. You're good with strangers," she added before leaving Katyusha alone. As she drank her coffee, she regretted for not asking her more about the lost guy. But it's not a big deal. Someone else would notice him sooner or later. And Katyusha had some work to do. She took her empty cup with her and left the cafeteria, passing other visitors and coworkers on her way out.

Wandering this hospital was a bad idea. Really, he had no idea why he had decided to go with this half-baked scheme of his. Really, he had no idea what the person looked like, had no idea what position they worked in. For all that Gilbert knew, it could be a third shift worker who worked maintenance instead of someone who worked the floor on a regular shift. Stopping in a random hallway, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair, messing it up even more than it naturally was. Knowing it was close to time he should leave before security caught wind of him, he decided to make one more round. Looking at all the names he could on the ID badges and the rooms, he was determined to at least see this scheme out to whatever its end.
With each step he took, there were no sounds of footsteps to give him away. Gilbert wasn’t always a quiet man, most of the time he was rather loud actually, but he had learned to blend in as much as he could. It didn’t always work, but at least he made an effort. It was harder when people were on the lookout for those that didn’t belong, but it was what it was.
Hall after all passed and he knew it was useless, He had one last option though, but he knew it was a long shot in the dark… who was he kidding, this was a terrible idea and he knew he should leave. With a sigh as if he couldn’t find who he was looking for, which was technically true, he turned around to leave. He would have to do some research when he got home and maybe get into the system to do his own background checks on the people who worked here. That way, he could find out if any had any negative history or connections to people they shouldn’t.
Well this was the stupidest idea I’ve ever had.

велике спасибі She was halfway towards the front hall when Katyusha saw a white haired man ran a hand through his hair. His youthful face looked confused. Maybe this was the man whom Jane told her about? Before she finished her thought, he turned around and headed to the exit. She wondered why no one helped him while walking as fast as possible to match the man's speed. What if he was looking for a sick relative? Or a missing child? More similar thoughts appeared in Katyusha's mind, making her feel guilty. She should tell the hospital manager about this. Her coworkers were busy, yes, but they should notice if there's someone who was lost within the building. This act of neglect might be proven dangerous in the future and stained the reputation of this hospital. "Sir?" the nurse called him. She approached closer, smiling. "Can I help you? I see you are looking for something... or maybe someone." The clicking of her heels against the floor stopped as the Ukrainian woman stood still. "Did you come here with family or friends? I can find them for you."Katyusha observed him. This man certainly wasn't a patient. There was a case of runaway patient who brought the IV bag with her out from her room. Apparently she ran from her home and didn't want her family to take her back home. This man didn't have any IV bag with him, nor he forced to take out the needle, which would make blood splattered everywhere. While he was paler than her, it was because of his natural complexion. He might not that healthy, however. "If you're feeling sick, I'll take you to see a doctor." Katyusha added. "Or if you only need to eat, cafeteria is not far from here. It's that way." She pointed to the direction where she came.

"Sir? Can I help you? I see you are looking for something... or maybe someone? Did you come here with family or friends? I can find them for you." Stopping where he was, he hesistated before turning around. He knew someone would stop him eventually, and frankly, he had gotten hopeful that he would make it out before being stopped. Though he could have reported this as a security hazard himself for allowing him to make it this far for this long. He might still, from a journalist’s perspective. But first he had to get out of this mess without getting into trouble.
"If you're feeling sick, I'll take you to see a doctor." Katyusha added. "Or if you only need to eat, cafeteria is not far from here. It's that way."
Grinning hesitantly at the woman, he could only shrug. Really, he was here for none of those reasons, but… she had given him an idea for a story for himself…though he would have to wait and see how it all worked in the long run. He could be a good liar when he needed to be, and the story he had in mind could have been the truth given other circumstances.
“Nein, I’m not sick or need food. But, you could say I was looking for someone.”
Reaching up to scratch the back of his head, he took on a sheepish look... and tried not to look to threatening. Looking down an around, he tried to pull of the act of a child who got caught doing something they weren’t supposed to do, which in fact, was pretty much what had happened.
“It’s stupid, and I had hopped I could get away without being noticed, but … I’m looking for my mother. Well, my birth mother. I got a call saying she was here, but, well, I don’t know her name or what she looks like. I was hoping I would recognize her if I saw her, but I got nothing.”

велике спасибі “Nein, I’m not sick or need food. But, you could say I was looking for someone.” "Oh..." Katyusha touched her lips, surprised. Poor guy. He must had been panicking after all this time wandering inside the hospital building. "I will help you look for... for that person," the nurse gave him a reassuring nod. "When did you last see them? Please tell me what they looked like." Chelsea and Westminster Hospital buildings were huge, and it was not uncommon for kids or elderly people to get lost without company or if they strayed too far from one. Especially children. Unattended children playing hide-and-seek often were found by one of the hospital staff. An announcement then made to look for their guardian. But so far there was no such announcement, so Katyusha assumed whoever he's looking for was still lost. But the man's expression changed into... sheepish? The nurse raised an eyebrow. Was he really looking for someone or he just sneaked here for no apparent reason? The hospital staff dealt with paparazzi trying to sneak into a VIP room and take a picture of a public figure who was there. He didn't look like a paparazzi, but she had to be watchful. “It’s stupid, and I had hoped I could get away without being noticed, but … I’m looking for my mother. Well, my birth mother. I got a call saying she was here, but, well, I don’t know her name or what she looks like. I was hoping I would recognize her if I saw her, but I got nothing.” "You don't have further information? Can you call the person who tells you about your birth mother?" Katyusha asked him politely. "If you couldn't, you could try for a DNA test." She only asked him that for formality purpose. His reason was somewhat weak. "I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to help if you barely know her. But feel free to return when you have more information."

"You have no further information? can you call the person who tells you about your birth mother? If you couldn't, you could try for a DNA test."
Gilbert barely kept himself from wincing with that suggestion. He didn't see how a DNA test would help, there would be no one to compare it to, unless they wanted to compare it again every patient in the hospital...or worse yet, give it to the police for there records. There was no way he was going to give them his blood for this reason. Plus he didn't like needles. He wasn't afraid of them, no, but he prefered they stayed as from from his skin as he could get them.
"I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to help if you barely know her. But feel free to return when you have more information."
It's fine, like I said, it was a stupid idea. But I will see if I can contact the person who called me. Perhaps the phone compay will tell me when I tell them the situation. I'll just go, sorry for bothering you."
And with that said, he turned around to make his way out of the hospital. He wasn't runing, no, but he wasn't ambling along at a slow pace either. He hoped that since he was leaving voluntarily that she wouldn't call security on him; after all, what would be the point? He was leaving anyway of his own free will.
Once he made it outside, he turned to look back up at the building and heaved a sigh of relief that had his chest visably moving. He was glad to be outside and free of her. She seemed nice enough, but something still seemed off, though after this encounter, he was determined not to find out. He always listened to his instincts, and now they were screaming stay away; flashing red waring lights included. Turning to walk down the street, he made his way to the bus stop where he pulled out his notebook and in his own code on the front page, he made a note to stay away from the hospital. He didn't want to encounter her or any of her coworkers again unless he needed medical treatment...even then, the situation would have to be dire.

велике спасибі "It's fine, like I said, it was a stupid idea." No, no. It was not stupid at all. But Katyusha couldn't say it without interjecting. His tone indicated that he wished he was not here anymore. How could he say that searching for his birth mother was stupid? "But I will see if I can contact the person who called me. Perhaps the phone company will tell me when I tell them the situation. I'll just go, sorry for bothering you." Now that he had expressed his apology, the nurse felt somewhat guilty. "There's no need to apologize," she said politely, yet she was saying it in sorry tone. "I will help you find her once you have further information."The guy turned his back and Katyusha kept her eyes on his back until he passed the entrance door. Somehow he seemed to be so in a hurry to leave; he was gone from her sight within seconds. She muttered a soft have a good day before returning to her work. It was understandable he quickly jumped into action once he had that simple information, but he should have waited so the effort spent for searching wouldn't be wasted. Poor guy. Jane met her back in the nurse station, inquiring about the lost man. "Did you see him?" Katyusha only shook her head, took her clipboard and started to check her patients. London might be big and crowded, but there was always a chance she would see him somewhere else. And if he someday decided to return, the Ukrainian woman would still remember him. His appearance was slightly peculiar: pale skin, white hair and reddish eyes. A bit to the thin side too. Not many people like him existed in London anyway. Yet if they did cross path again, she wouldn't know what to say to him. She was still unsure he was here really for his birth mother, if such woman did work in this hospital.
