Mod Post - Edwyn Von Halen Edwyn viewed and admired the way João's fingers flew so expertly across the strings, the way they plucked and strummed and changed key and chord on the turn of a dime. He didn't mind the blaring inaccuracies. They were few, far between, and for a man who was simply playing by ear a song he'd never heard before, they could be overlooked completely. Edwyn was very much impressed with the skills and efforts of the Portuguese man, and subconsciously twisted at the hairs of his mustache in piqued interest. When João was finished playing his round, Edwyn gently held the banjo in his arms - cradling it, almost as if it were a child - and clapped his hands joyously. The crowd followed his lead and clapped for him also, but the errors in João's playing supposedly were supposed to mean loss or failure. "I must say, you've done a great deal better than anyone else I have faced in combat! You were not lying, sir, you are well-practiced in this art." Edwyn moved forward to inspect João's instrument as it lay against his body. "This is a beautiful instrument. You take good care of it, it sounds wonderful!" Edwyn grinned at João and then held his banjo back up. "Ready for round two?" After a moment of waiting for a response, Edwyn pressed his fingers into the strings of his banjo and once again began to play an unfamiliar tune. "I call this one A Ride at Dawn," Edwyn stated as he played, "I composed it for my wife years ago." He showed no trace of corresponding emotion to suggest her current status. |

Hey there guys. Yup, we're doing this again. It's the first of November already! We're in fall and that means we're almost to 2014! Ahmahgawd. Anyway, we know that the upcoming months are going to be hectic for a lot of people but never fear-- our rules out still in place and we are allowing hiatuses for those that need them. Do not be afraid to come to us! As always the rules are as follows:
1) Hiatuses are still allowed, but must be renewed each AC period. The first week and a half of the AC is the time allotted to submitting a hiatus, unless you're in an emergency situation. If there is any issue with this, please discuss it with the mods.
2) The word minimum is 300 words per post. We're counting!
3) Any character that doesn't pass the sweep is dropped. No exceptions.
4) Linears or liquids are both allowed.
5) Any post after November 1st is valid.
6) The due date for this sweep is November 22nd. We will drop characters who have failed to complete the check on the 23rd.
7) After the 23rd, you're free to relax for the rest of November. The sweep will begin again on December 1st.
With that said we wish you luck and good dancing.

A fatal error has occurred.
The game was won, until the unthinkable happened. Usually transported back into the real world after victory, the players of BGO remain trapped in the game, and must win once again in order to escape.
That catch?
They only have one life. There is no respawning.
But there are also all the same dangers. Brave the labyrinth and find the treasure, tame the dragon and find an egg, using guns, wands, lightsabers, and pocket balls to ease the pain of the game. There's only one way out and it's up to the players to work as a team to make sure everyone survives against the nefarious forces within the game.

Now, this isn't going to be entirely NPC'd by the mods. Ohohoho no. Once a scenario has ended, people are free to create their own, but make sure you use a guest account and make sure you keep rping your character! Don't limit yourself to just BGO-universe, either. Want to bring in something from Doctor Who? Go for it. Ghostbusters? Yeah, sure! Skyrim!? HELL YEAH. The only limit is our collective imagination. As always, try not to kill people off without their permission, but since this is a rather deadly event, keep in mind that your death may eventually be necessary as a sacrifice for the greater good. :U

Blonde Anthropology Chick The noise her blonde friend made at that exact moment was somehow still audible to human ears. It was a squeal of the high-pitched variety, but not quite as loud as it could have been. This was a whisper, and subtlety was, of course, key! European husbands, a dream of many an American girl who sought to explore the exotic world outside the U.S. of A. The blonde immediately hid behind her brunette friend, the obviously more attractive of the duo, whilst she stared at the two men across the way with a pleased expression. The taller man (the Greek! Eee!) was just as chiseled as the god towered over them, and though the younger man beside him wasn't quite as bulky he was still cute. Hrm, tough choice. They were both gorgeous! She pushed her glasses back up her face from their dangling at the edge of her nose and swallowed roughly. They joked about this on the plane here and-- oh God, were they actually going to do it!? Their first day of touring, too! Ahh, Heaven above! The slightly shoved her Californian classmate forward. "Well, go on! They're obviously staring at you!" |
