The London Underground was not a place that Francis tended to frequent unless absolutely necessary. The famous tube, as it’s also known, was fairly decent for travelling at a rapid pace -- it wasn’t something that appealed to Francis as he preferred to stay above ground, where he could see the iridescent sky. It was much more comforting that way; he didn’t like being trapped, whether metaphorically or literally.
Besides, it the smell down here was particularly repulsing.
But it was, admittedly, a good place to subtly encourage others to download and join AESTHETIC. As there were a great deal of people who used the tube constantly as a means of transportation, it was ideal for advertising. Although he most usually preferred to utilize a mission in order to get members to the group (ex. encourage a friend to join and get fifteen points), it was interesting to mention it in conversation after striking up small talk with a stranger on the street – or, in this case, on the platform.
Now, starting a conversation was the most difficult part. People didn’t like being approached randomly, especially in such a big city such as London – even worse, as it was so well known through the entire world. His eyes flickered to the map that traced the various paths in the underground out in a myriad of bright colors, where there was one person noticeably glancing at it. Ah, there we go. Being lost, confused, unsure of where to go, etc. etc. was a surefire, easy way in order to get talking and ease into another topic. Very well, target acquired.
Francis approached the man in front of the tube’s map, skirting his way through the crowd, and offered an easy smile in greeting. “Hello there, mon ami! Do you need some assistance? Pardon my presumption, but you’re looking a bit lost.”
