So everyone seems to live in super different places!
And I think it would be uber cool if we all posted pictures of the different cities and neighborhoods we live in! Because there is so muuuuuuuuuuuch diversity and it would be interesting

So I've temporarily misplaced the cable needed to get my photos from my phone, so I'm going to cheat a bit and use pics of my city I've found online for now haa. Will upload ones I've taken after I find my cable! For now here {wooop} Old stream once used to power up the factories nearby. Now it's... just there. Chuuuurch I can't wait for winter tbh Ok this is kinda pretty actually moar winter View of (one of the many) lakes around. This one's small tho Again the lake and factory it's like in the center of the city so A bigger lake idk this one has islands you can rent for fishing, swimming, sauna etc.

prepare for a long post B/ so last weekend I went to my grandma's house and took lots of pics. these are some of them: {01 || departure} not the plane I rode, but it's from the same company. arrival. this airport is rather small and often flooded during rain season :'D view in a restaurant we passed on the way from the airport to grandma's house. they only sell fried chicken. {02 || grandma's house and its surroundings} the house. door is behind the partition. neighbor's house. notice the blue hills in the background. another neighbor's house the street in front of the house, before dawn. idk whose house is this; at least the owner still asleep when I took this. ricefield. the building on far right is an elementary school. taken near my uncle's home. didn't go through this on the way back. some random chick enrambutan tree mango tree idk what is the name of these flowers. notice the hills {03 || out of town} most towns are surrounded by teak forest. view of nearby town. {04 || the hills} the hills are south of the home. if I went further south, I'd reach the volcano lines. thankfully most volcanoes near the village have been dormant. newly harvested fields cornfield. yeah the plant is small. the women in the pic are looking for sand. I'm glad there are no men/boys in the pic they usually take a bath buttnaked in the river sothe logs here are from sengon (idk the english name) tree. they'll be made into chopsticks and exported abroad. aside from sengon, there are teak, cacao and clove trees grow wildly in the hills. most products derived from them are exported. pretty clove tree with its small leaves <3 shy schoolkids sort of town center... the blue shadows ahead are the volcanoes. the buildings are part of a restaurant. young teak tree. its leaves are wide and often used as rice wrapper. pretty sure I've taken a pic of that, but phone didn't save it darn. {05 || cats} taken at the hills ok done fff edit: all photos are taken around Subah, Central Java; except the first two pics. They're taken at airports in Jakarta and Semarang, Central Java.

wuh another long post {02 || Lawang Sewu, Semarang, Central Java} originally a headquarter of Dutch East Indies' railway company (Spoorweg Nederlands Indie Maatschappij/NIS), its nickname which means "thousand doors" in Javanese came from the building's many doors. Finished in 1919. Lawang Sewu is famously known for its ghosts (though idk if there are any). view from the middle yard. the exhibition room depicting the restoration project view of the hallway you can learn about railway history in Indonesia here since it also functions as a museum. views from the outside. also taken during rain. the locomotive replica... or the real thing, I didn't ask. {03 || Cats} this one only comes home for food, then goes off just to return with battle scars

{The capital city} Canberra is very weird, one moment you're in the centre of town... 100 steps later BOOM! you're in the middle of the bush with ants crawling all over you. People call it the bush capital for this reason. Saying that, it does have some pretty nice bike paths. Though these guys love to swoop down on cyclists and make them crash. There's also weird and faintly creepy sculptures to look at. This cushion thing has been known to give people herpes. This very nice (artificial) lake has blue-green algae in it, swimming is not permitted for this reason. Unless you happen to be a black swan, then you're fine. Diplomats and politicians also live here, the latter are pretty much the whole reason why Canberra was even made in the fist place. This pub was named after a local politician who's main claim to fame was to try and endorse prohibition.
