LIVING ON FALSE HOPE
[attr="class","next”]"Hey! Need a ride?"
What a cowardly way to do things... But it seemed for the best, right? Maybe he would remain the way he was until this was all over. Maybe he would just stay asleep, knocked out by the medicine? He could feel his own stomach twisting and turning at the thought... What if what he gave him conflicted with his Wes's own medication? What if he inadvertently killed the boy? What if everything got out of hand? No, no... Seamus wouldn't kill them. He's after Donny. Not them... One life in exchange for four... That was okay, wasn't it?
He could feel himself growing pale, probably even hinting a green texture as his fingers dug into the steering wheel while the bridge came into sight. He still hadn't managed to look Victoria in the eye, but at the very least kept his hand on the gun in his lap pointed toward her. It was an empty threat and she knew it, but she'd only taken the time to talk to him... and as much as he appreciated it from his big sister, it was a little late. He could only promise her that everything would be okay.
"We're here." The words came out practically choked, and he swallowed back some of the bile coming up to greet his already dry mouth. The feeling stung his throat, but clearing it did nothing. "D-Don't do anything they won't like, okay? Swear to me." He could feel his entire body trembling, as opposed to when he used to work for that gang that took Elaine from him... Back then he'd managed to do everything without batting an eye, but now? Now he could hardly feel his own legs among the jello they'd become.
His eyes darted to the two large men standing outside waiting for them. "Just do what they say, alright?" He quickly put the car in park and got out without awaiting a response, pulling out his cellphone. He dialed Donny's number several times, each time messing up as his fingers grew numb and refused to work properly for this task...
"Augh..." He shoved the phone back into his pocket, looking back to Victoria and Westley in the car before moving over. "S-Sorry... I'll need you to keep an eye on Westley for me, okay, Cwtch?" He gave a small smile. "I'll be back soon."
