Andrei Ionescu Typical college aged guy, Andrei is often seen at the best parties and/or sporting clothes he made with his own hands, worn down jeans and shoes. Most girls would call him adorable, and that might do with big eyes and sweet smile. He may or may not pull his hair up into cute ponytails when he's alone at home because hair is just the worse when it's falling over your eyes when you're trying to cook or sew. |

Cute; Not just his general looks, Andrei's usually bubbly, charismatic self usually attracts all kinds of fans. Somewhat shy when the focus changes to himself, it's not too hard to make him blush. He's very excitable too, when he's talking about his passions. Andrei enjoys all kinds of social contact, especially hugs and kisses. Friendly; At first glance, Andrei may seem like a happy, talkative social butterfly. People notice he is always smiling when in public, and he can be seen chatting to his own shadow, if left alone for too long. He's very charming too, even when he's not trying to impress. He can talk about anything, and he’s easy to get along with, as an acquaintance. For closer friends, he can be a bit picky, but once you’re in his special circle, he’ll care deeply for your well-being. Daring; Andrei can be a little too spontaneous sometimes, often speaking his mind and having to suffer the consequences, and he is maybe a little too much of an airhead to be cautious at times. Andrei likes taking risks, and he won't back off from a challenge. He even enjoys roughhousing with his friends, much like any other guy his age. Clever; Street smart is one of the many things one would call Andrei. He's quick to catch on the news and make his way around it. With a very sharp mind, Andrei can be creative and of quick response in times of need. It comes in handy when he’s caught in the headlights, doing something he shouldn’t; he can often talk his way out of trouble. Hardworking; Andrei can get a lot of favors with his sweet words and sweeter laughter, but he still understands the importance of getting his own hands dirty. He's always studied hard in his own interests, even if he's not too fond of school. Once he’s given a job, it’s hard to get him distracted, and he usually sees through it as soon as he can, rarely leaving things to do on the evening of their due dates. Vicious; Always beware the nice ones. Even when being generally cheerful, Andrei’s often plotting something bigger. One should be careful not to upset him, as the boy will hold a grudge for years. He will take every chance he gets to get even, including but not limited to backstabbing and blackmailing. It all may sound very classy, but Andrei is not above sassy replies and straight out name calling. Mischievous; The boy is very playful, adoring pranks and practical jokes of any sort. He has a hard time having a serious conversation, even when he realizes some things can’t be taken lightly. They are mostly harmless, until someone cross his lines. Then it get serious, and the other person may be in trouble, as Andrei doesn’t always know when to stop. Liar; It comes hand in hand with a trickster, lawless nature. He can tell the biggest lies, looking at his targets right in the eyes. He is skilled, and fast to come up with stories to justify his actions, even the wrong ones. Andrei understands people well, so he uses that to his advantage. He can pull body language into manipulation as well, when sometimes looking smaller and more frail is better than being overconfident and chatty. Moody; Under his smiles, Andrei can be very melancholic. He feels isolated and unwanted. These melancholic periods may make Andrei lethargic and apathetic, but he tries his hardest to hide it from everyone, including Mihai. Whenever these moods of him strike, it’s often best to just leave him to sleep it off; Andrei can crack into a sobbing mess if pressured too hard to cheer up. Crybaby; Once you're past all the cockiness and the big talk, it's not too hard to bring Andrei to tears. One may call him over emotional, but truth is he can be pretty sensitive if you strike at the right angle. Andrei doesn’t bother hiding his more superficial emotions; he will usually let you know if he’s upset or frustrated with something, and it’s all the same with tears. He can cry when he’s overly joyful too, like in happy endings and sappy movies. |

Big Brother; Absolutely adores would be a better description. Mihai is the air Andrei breathes. Mihai's taken care of him his whole life, and Andrei just wouldn't know what to do if his brother was gone. Alcohol; The boy drinks. A lot. It's even worse when he's left with his own thoughts for too long. It's the easiest form of escapism, whenever he's feeling down. Sewing; Let's call it his creative side. It started as a need, but it grew from it and now it's a hobby. He's the kind of kid who covered his favorite jacket with band patches, but he makes things from scratch too. Horror; Always influenced by Mihai, Andrei loves scary stories and fairy tales with an equal share of blood and magic. They bond over movie nights. Thrills; Whether it's in an amusement park or sassying an easily angered teacher, Andrei really enjoys an adrenaline rush. | Orders; It's easier to make him see reason than to have him obbey. Money; Having it is is awesome, money buys things. What he hates is the amount of power that money has over people. Loneliness; Andrei is always looking for someone to talk to, or go do stuff with. Most of the time, it doesn't even matter what it is. Brainless Work; Andrei is not a dumb kid. He doesn't mind working hard but he'd very much rather work smart. Dogs; He was bitten hard when he was a kid, and still sports the marks. |

Justice; Inspired by FOL, Andrei believes in the revolution. He wants world peace and happiness for all, from the bottom of his heart. He is a good kid, and still hopes for a better world. Money; He would very much like being rich one day. He knows better than most what it feels to have little to no money, even when he and his mother got help from his brother. He would love not to worry about it one day. Acceptance; Bastard child from a somewhat distant mother, Andrei has had a hard time finding his own spot in the world. He'd love nothing more than to be loved, and wanted. | Poverty; Thanks to Mihai, he's better off now, but the idea that maybe one day they go back to zero is terrifying to Andrei. Mihai's Disappearance; Be through death, capture or even injury, Andrei's terrified his brother ends up not coming home by the end of the day. Meaninglessness; Rather than sitting around to mope, Andrei wants to change the world, somehow. It feels unacceptable to him to let his existence go by unnoticed. |
Background |
Andrei was born in Moldova, to a single mother. He never even heard of his father, so eventually he gave up on asking. His mother was a waitress, and the two moved to Romania, mother's birthplace, before Andrei turned one. There's little he recalls from his early childhood. The few memories he has, it was often about a distressed mother whose hair slowly turned gray from worry, always wondering how to make their little money last to the end of the month. He remembers little from these first four, five years of his life. What Andrei remembers well, however, was the day another boy, much older than him, came knocking onto his door. He looked a lot like Andrei himself, if anything with much lighter hair. His mother hugged the new boy tightly, and explained to a confused Andrei that the newcomer was indeed Mihai, Andrei's brother from England. He was too young to understand what it all meant, but Mihai didn't seem all too bad. The two grew close fast, and Andrei finally found a figure to look up to. As a role model, Mihai did well, always helping the family get by and giving Andrei little treats. Andrei grew up to worship his big brother, even believing him incredible when the older one brought home spoils from petty crimes. Eventually, Mihai met new faces and got involved in all kinds of things, and at that point, Andrei could only see it as for the best. When Mihai eventually left for England, Andrei made sure to keep in touch with his brother. With Mihai gone, Andrei took over helping his mother get by, even through less than legal means. Andrei got to hang out with all kinds of bad influences, and soon learnt how to pick pocket and shoplift. He had quick, smooth hands. Hardly ever did Andrei get in trouble, he had always been careful not to call too much attention with his mischief. He hopes for a better world, and has too grown to know the people of FOL, even if Andrei himself is considered too young to really have any power into the operations. If anything, he’s nothing but an occasional delivery boy. Andrei had never cared much for school, but from an early age, and under brother's guidance, he always understood that people respected grades. With cynical studying, he's not only learnt how to speak decent Russian, but Andrei graduated from school with amazing grades, and managed to get into a prestigious English university. He flew into London, where he shares the house with Mihai. Currently, Andrei lives happily with his brother, and enjoys his classes. He always has a thing or two to go to, always going to movies and parties with his friends. Andrei couldn't ask for more, really. He enjoys being around people, partying and just hanging out. It’s hard to find him at home, which is when he’s usually at his gloomiest. |

Few things were quite as satisfying as slipping from his Order’s (and his brother’s, especially) scrutinizing stares and just roaming free around a big city. As Andrei walked down one of the many streets of the Archades’ marketplace, fully dressed in civilian clothes, one couldn’t look more inconspicuous. Cheerful to the point of humming to himself, the adept browsed the stalls for what seemed to be hours, until night fell and the shops closed. Like an Esper’s gift though, just around the corner, he found a pub. Time to make the day more interesting… Heads turned when the boy waltzed in, short and scrawny looking, and Andrei smiled as usual when people watched him come. The Oracle cleared his throat as he announced: “Gentlemen.” And he pulled a little velvet bag from under his clothes. “A bag of coins for the man who defeats me in a shot contest.” Some people laughed, mocking the newcomer, and some smiled, already picturing themselves spending the easily earned cash. No one smirked brighter than Andrei. Fast forward a couple of hours, and Andrei had most of the tavern cheering him on around a table, across from his fiercest contestant so far. The wizard was past the drunken point, but his new fans didn’t need to know, right? As long as he kept drinking. Ten. With another shot down, he smiled to the man sitting with him. He couldn’t possibly last much longer; Andrei knew they had all been drinking before he arrived. “Ready to give up, big boy?” The man hiccupped a laugh in reply, and shot down his tenth glass, slamming it back on the table louder than necessary. They both gestured the waitress for another. “Fine, fine.” The Oracle laughed. The guy was a good sport, at least. Cheers to you! Eleven. Andrei was pretty sure he wouldn’t walk away from this. Maybe crawl back to his sanctuary, if he could even find the way in this state, and beg brother not to be too harsh on the punishments. The contestant put his empty glass down, but his hands were starting to shake. That would be painful in the morning, if the man prayed to the wrong One. Twelve. And one shot to the God who won’t let you have a hangover! |
