Victoria Anderson Victoria Anderson is one of London's well-known prosecuting attorneys. She fulfills her duties with swift grace and pride, quite serious during her job, and does a complete one eighty when socializing outside of work. She often fantasizes about people, and is rather blunt about sex. She's a no-nonsense type of woman, a feminist, and a strong advocate for what she believes in. |

There are somewhat difficult, complex people in the world. Victoria Anderson happens to be what you may consider one of them. Victoria is a person of many layers, and it honestly depends where she is and who she’s with to determine the way she acts. To strangers, she’s most typically courteous, polite and respectful, although she’ll speak her mind regarding subjects she feels strongly about no matter who a person may be. She tends to appear overly serious, without a sense of humor, and an extremely tight-lipped woman to people who don’t know her. To friends and others she knows on a more personal level, she’s protective, social and fun to go out and have a drink with most evenings. She enjoys inviting company over to play guitar (or other instruments), sing and have a good time, and is always there to listen to anyone’s problems if they need it, and offer advice if she can. To enemies and people she dislikes, she makes it her personal priority to make their life a living hell and will do nearly anything to find a way to get back at them with never ending persistence. (This includes flirting and seducing people they share a special connection with, romantically or platonically.) Passionate about what she loves, Victoria genuinely is happy whenever she speaks about anything she has strong feelings about. However, the same goes for when it’s something she can’t stand and detests – she’ll make it perfectly clear how she feels about the subject. She also has a sharp tongue; which occasionally works in a positive way, and occasionally in a negative way. She’s able to most usually come up with witty replies when jabbed at, and dry, sarcastic marks when she feels it’s necessary – such as pointing out something obvious. Victoria is a strong speaker, especially when addressing several people or a crowd, and she’ll debate until the end for what she believes in. Victoria is a very liberally person and has radical viewpoints, socially and politically. She strongly advocates for women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, and most other views that involve people’s personal liberties. She detests sexism, and while yes, she does enjoy chivalry, she finds it ridiculous that women must be treated delicately and men are perfectly fine with facing large amounts of rough, difficult work. In her mind, anybody of either gender is capable of accomplishing the same goals. Gender stereotypes are ridiculous, and she can’t help but help cringe when she hears someone talking about how girls are too emotional, guys aren’t emotional enough, or something of the like. People’s sexualities are difficult. Most people have some sort of attraction to other humans – whether sexual or romantic, it doesn’t matter. Victoria is no different. Sexually, she doesn’t mind either gender although she leans towards women, and romantically she’s only attracted to other females. Another thing is that she usually finds herself checking out people and imagining what they would be like in the bedroom – that’s probably what she’s most often thinking of when she spaces out. It’s sad, but she can’t help it; Victoria’s almost constantly surrounded by attractive people, and she’s always had a relatively high sex drive. When it comes to relationships and love, for the most part, Victoria finds herself a hopeless romantic. She likes the sex, yes, but she also enjoys being romanced and wooed, although that much may not be obvious. Going out for dinner, receiving a bouquet of roses, any other typical romantic gesture – Victoria enjoys anything of the like. She’s had relatively little amounts of love in her past, so any romantic attention she receives means something to her. She’s also one to try her best to gain someone else’s feelings when she likes them, and often consults books for romantic advice. Everybody matches up to at least one of the seven deadly sins, regardless if they’ll admit it or not. The one Victoria shares a clear connection with is pride. When humiliated, she tends to hold a grudge and she’s unfortunately not a very forgiving person. When she gets into an argument with someone, her pride simply won’t let her apologize first and she always ends up making the other person do it – unless they’re equally as stubborn, and there’s no other choice but for her to give in. She hates this part of herself, and she’s attempted to step up many times, but ultimately, she never can. “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” People like to think of themselves as good and kind people when they manage to throw away their initial judgment of a person – but there’s still always that first judgment, no matter what a person may try to do. Victoria is like every other human in this sense, except it’s difficult for her to disregard her judgments until she manages to get to know that person. Until then, all she’ll know of you is by what your appearance is, how you hold yourself, and how you speak to her and others. |

+Helping people; ever since she was young, Victoria wanted to grow up to become someone who could help others. Being a lawyer came into play later; there were so many occupations that involved assisting people, but certain events that happened in her past helped make the right decision. +Chivalry; common courtesy and manners are always welcomed. It’s nice to see evidence that chivalry still exists in modern times, and hasn’t completely been extinguished. + Tea; stereotypical, yes, but it’s true. Tea is an essential in life, and she always has at least two cups a day – one in the morning, and one in the evening. There are several different kinds she likes, but she can never quite decide which one is her favorite. +Punk/rock music; her favorite genres of music. She loves the beat, the music in general, and how freely people can express their emotions through the lyrics. She’s attempted to write some of her own, but lyric writing has proved more difficult than she expected for her. +Guitar; she’s been playing it ever since she was approximately eleven – it was a gift she received for her birthday that year. She finds herself fascinated with the unlimited amount of chords and notes that can be produced from the instrument, and she plays it to get her feelings out. + Literature; Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Shakespeare, you name it. She has a wide variety of genres she enjoys, and all for different reasons. She finds mysteries intriguing, and does her best to solve the puzzle before the characters in the book do (she has a 87% success rate). Fantasy is also enjoyable, she adores the universe of witches and wizards J.K. Rowling created. Shakespeare is simply brilliant for his tragedies and Victoria likes to read old English, on occasion. +Football; the only sport she’s tried and stayed with from childhood to adulthood. Surprisingly to some people, she prefers team sports, and has always found kicking the ball around to be fun, even though she’s not exactly the best at it. She plays right defense. +Smoking; it’s something that helps her calm down. She used to have one nearly every day when younger, but managed to end her addiction and only occasionally smokes when she’s extremely anxious over something. +Sex; is that a crime? She used to go out quite a bit when she was younger, and was rather wild until she managed to get a handle on her life and discovered her desire to become a lawyer. Nowadays, she may go to a club or a bar to chance her luck – without her glasses, of course, and her hair done differently as to not be recognized. Male or female, either is fine, although she currently prefers women romantically. | -Estelle Bonnefoy; if there’s any one person she detests with all her being, it’s Estelle Bonnefoy. Victoria has made it her personal goal to see the mafia boss locked away in prison for the rest of her life to rot, one reason being because of how many times she’s escaped from her sentences, and another being how infuriatingly smug she almost always is. Whether it be because Estelle seduced someone she had her eye on, hurt her in some unspeakable way, or simply dared to smirk so tauntingly at her, Victoria has vowed she’ll see Estelle Bonnefoy’s downfall – someway, somehow. -French; whether it be the language, or anyone having some sort of French origin. While she didn’t formerly have something against the French, whenever she hears spoken or written words she’s only reminded of her hated enemy, Estelle. (She despises Estelle even further for triggering her mind to even think of her.) -Glasses; she only wears them over contacts when during cases in the court. In her own opinion (besides looking like a librarian), she looks much more intelligent and professional. Yet at the same time, it gives off the impression she’s stuck-up and distant. So when she goes out to socialize on a personal level, she prefers to wear her contacts. -Rap music; it’s not even music, in her opinion. It’s just people speaking rhythmically at an extremely fast pace so it’s hard to understand. She doesn’t see the appeal in it, and she gets a headache every time she hears a so-called “song” with rap in it. - Being ridiculed; particularly when concerning her failures. It becomes even more infuriating if Estelle is the one doing the taunting. Regardless of who the person is, she loathes anyone who dares to make a jab at her and will refute whatever you foolishly said until she’s made her point with overwhelming fury. - Drugs; she has a bad history with drugs. She was formerly involved with them, but ultimately forced herself to quit following a tragic event of a close friend overdosing and dying. -Sexual harassment/sexual assaults; while it’s expected of most people to be disgusted with this anyways, Victoria hates it with all her physical and mental being entirely and completely. Following the death of her friend overdosing, another close friend was raped one terrible night only a month later and was never the same again. It’s part of the reason she decided to become a persecutor, actually, regarding the case of identifying the rapist and charging him. -Single-minded people; especially when it comes to sexualities. People who choose to only think one way of doing things exists and refuse to look down other paths to experiment fall into this category. Victoria is a woman. She likes other women. Problem? -Sexism; gender stereotypes are also included here. Both males and females are equal for the most part, and neither gender is superior over the other. Both genders are human – they have emotions, positive traits, negative traits and aren’t perfect. |

^To change the world; okay, well, not exactly. She wants to make a difference in the world and affect people's lives for the better, and persuade them to have an open mind. She wants people to look to the future, and keep moving forward. There are still enough petty fights throughout the world, and quite honestly she finds them ridiculous. ^To be romantically involved with someone; it's both surprising and it's not. She thinks it would be nice to have someone to love -- but at the same time not. She's a bit torn currently, but she is most definitely leaning towards trying to find somebody. Victoria is a romantic, after all. Simply having a different sex partner every other day isn't all that great. ^To deliver justice; fairly, of course. She dreams of being able to punish lawbreakers and criminals for what they've done -- and she expects them to accept it when they've lost. That's what a honorable opponent would do, isn't it? | *Losing close ones to unnatural causes; losing a friend to drugs impacted her life greatly. She worries others will end up dying in an unfortunate accident such as a car crash, being mugged, alcohol poisoning, etc. This is where her scolding and overly protective side comes into play when she thinks one of her friends may be making a poor decision. *Pain; Physical pain, emotional pain, any type of pain... One reason why Victoria never dared to hurt herself. She doesn't need pain to escape her fears -- it is one of her fears. She becomes uncomfortable just thinking about it and desires to avoid pain whenever she possibly can. *Loneliness; being alone, being abandoned, being left behind… Any of these falls into the category of Victoria’s fears. It’s one of the worst feelings in the world to her, and she would much rather be forced to be locked in a room with someone she loathes than be locked in a room alone. When she ends up suffering for some reason or another, and isolates herself in a corner, she’s desperately seeking for someone to comfort her, even though her pride won’t allow her to admit it. She’ll push you away, but is hopelessly begging for you to stay – but no one ever understands, and only ends up hurting herself more. |
Background |
Victoria had a relatively normal childhood, as far as “normal” childhoods go. She had two parents who loved each other and her, and she grew up in a warm environment filled with happiness. She went to public school, paid attention in class, learned and earned good grades. She made friends, and they played together frequently. Nothing extraordinary would ever happen, except for the occasional readings of murders and crimes in the newspapers, and Victoria would wish for something interesting to occur. (Of course, she would always include wishing that nobody would get hurt.) Well, the saying “be careful what you wish for” proved true when Victoria’s parents seemingly out of nowhere decided to get a divorce when she was thirteen. But she should’ve seen the signs – her parents were more argumentive, there were less and less kisses and “I love you”s, and at times, her mother would return later in the evening than expected and her father would demand to know where she had been. As she was just turning into a teenager, this was probably the time the separation could happen, for she fell into a depression and started a rebellious stage when she was fifteen. She didn’t inflict self-harm at all, except for perhaps emotional infliction, but she began to turn to drugs, alcohol, sex and staying out late every night as a way to forget about everything. She never saw her mother again. Her father had custody of her, but it was easy for her to continue on the way she had decided to survive for the rest of her years as a teenager. Her grades began to suffer, but she didn’t care at the time; she didn’t want to go anywhere in life anyways. But all that changed just after she had turned sixteen. A friend she had known for a while ever since she had turned to drugs and she shared a common history with, overdosed on heroine and died. This managed to snap Victoria back into the harsh realities of life and just how easy it was to lose a life and she quit her drug and alcohol addiction. It was absolute torture and she went through Hell to do it, but she was determined to cut all ties with the substances and although it took a long time, she did. Following her friend’s overdosing, one of Victoria’s closest friends since childhood was sexually assaulted and raped only a month later. Victoria’s anger knew no bounds at that point, and she spent every possibly moment with her friend. She wanted to hunt the rapist down and murder him painfully, but she just stayed with the girl to help her. She was overjoyed when she heard the news of the perpetrator’s arrest, and eagerly went to the case in court as support for her friend and to see the bastard served justice. She didn’t understand how such a despicable being could even have a defense attorney. But nevertheless, there was DNA evidence and Victoria knew the man could not escape the charges no matter how hard he tried. There was a witness called to the stand, one who was apparently a friend of the culprit and had seen it happen at the party they had all been attending. The testimony went something like this: ”So they went upstairs together, and she was kinda drunk–“ ”Did he rape her?” ”Yes, but she was wea—“ ”I didn’t ask what she was wearing. Did he rape her?” ”Yes, but—“ ”I only asked a simple yes or no question. Did he rape her?” ”...Yes.” Victoria found herself admiring the persistence of the prosecuting lawyer and how clear, concise and collected she was. It was in that moment when she decided she desired to be a prosecuting attorney and be able to bring those who had committed such atrocities to justice. When she returned to school, she began to study extremely studiously to raise her grades to top marks. She would seek the help she needed from her teachers, all to be at the head of the class so she would be able to go to a good college and become the lawyer she was striving to be. She graduated not as the valedictorian, but still in the top percentage. She was accepted to Cambridge University, against the odds, and studied law there for six years to earn her Master’s Degree and managed to finally become a prosecuting lawyer at the age of twenty-four. She worked for a few years for the city, and then opened her own office and now works individually and takes on most cases brought to her – there are rarely times when she refuses. One particular case she had while serving for the city involved one Estelle Bonnefoy. To Victoria, she appeared to be a sexual seductress who happened to be quite rich and ended up speeding. (Honestly, she wouldn’t have minded sleeping with her.) She just had that sort of her air about her, but Victoria paid no mind to that and instead concentrated on the matter at hand: the fact that the woman had broken the law – even if it had just been speeding, it was still dangerous and putting others’ lives at risk. In the end, the woman received a fine of £1,000, and for some reason, had still refused to pay. This irritated Victoria, and she checked to see that the fine had been paid, but with a bit more of investigating from slight paranoia, she discovered that the fine was paid by someone else – a Carmen Fernandez-Carriedo. And so, because she was so annoyed by this woman and her stubbornness to just pay one measly fine, Victoria began to conduct some research and consulted several information brokers to put together the puzzle of Estelle Bonnefoy. It turned out that the woman, who had been charged for a mere fine for speeding, was actually heavily involved with the underground and the mafia – in fact, she was a boss. Victoria was incredulous, and attempted to find out more so that she possibly had a chance to bring the lawless woman to justice, but she could never find any solid evidence and still ultimately remains unable to do anything regarding her except to try and charge her with the most punitive measures possible whenever she returns to Court (which seemed to happen occasionally under minor crimes, it seems) – but Estelle Bonnefoy always somehow escaped. It infuriates Victoria to no end, and absolutely detests the mafia boss with her entire being. She swears to see her someday locked away and brought to justice – and she won’t be satisfied until she sees her behind bars. Victoria Anderson was born into a good life. There were a few bumps and a couple cracks in the road, but she’s managed to overcome them and pull through. She continues to move forward, with pride and dignity, and although she sometimes strays from the path, she will always find her way to return. |

Such nice days were usually rare. The sky the clearest it had been in weeks, the bright sun beating down in warm rays. The air still was a bit chilled, but overall bearable and thankfully not raining. Victoria wondered why she was standing inside an aquarium on such a beautiful day. She was not the most active, outdoorsy type of person, but she certainly enjoyed good weather because of its seldom appearances. As a result, she felt herself yearning to feel the fresh air against her skin and let it move her hair as it pleased. Breezes always were pleasant in her own personal opinion; even if the air was already chilled. She glanced at her left hand, checking her watch with slight impatience. It was already three minutes past the arranged meeting with Lucille. Victoria was typically more easy going outside of her work, but today was slightly more stressed than usual. She liked to separate her occupation as strict, no-nonsense Victoria Anderson and the much more laid back, outgoing Victoria Anderson whenever she could, but it seemed to cross more than she would have preferred. But being a prosecuting attorney was quite difficult; work seemed to follow her around wherever she went. Either she would manage to stumble upon a lawbreaker (Victoria swear she attracted them), or a civilian would recognize her and start begging for her services. Well, nobody ever said it was possible – or easy, for that matter. Even after all these years, she still had such a naïve longing to be able to keep her two sides of one half somehow trenchant. Honestly. Deciding that she would much more prefer to wait outside for the younger woman rather than inside, Victoria pushed open the glass door with little enthusiasm. The cooling air was refreshing and she sighed contently. It was much better than the stuffiness of being surrounded with far too large tanks for a wide variety of fish Victoria was positive she couldn't possibly begin to name. She now stood beneath the bright, large letters of the aquarium, slightly placated. With another quick glance at her wristwatch, Victoria brushed her fingers through the sandy blonde strands as something to do to keep her mind momentarily preoccupied. At least it wasn't raining. |
