Gilbert knew the reputation of the Brawn, knew how with its fancier atmosphere and its rich decoration, it was meant for the elite, or those who wanted to impresses a date or make it up to their significant others when they messed up big time. Knowing this reputation, the German had purposely dressed in his best clothes to go talk inquire about the job at that restaurant. It had required him raiding his closet for the items he barely wore and had no reason to wear them, but he did own some. Buried in the back of the closet, behind some old shirts he knew belonged in the rag pile, they were so holey and worn the only use they had now was rags. Behind these were his dress clothes. Taking them out and shaking them out, he grinned. They were perfect. The pants were black dress pants, and the shirt was a green button down that had cuffs that buttoned too. This is what he called fancy. Add in a nice tie with it and he was ready to go.
After getting changed and actually slicking back his hair, something he was loathed to do, he headed out, flyer in hand. It took a bit of time to get to the restaurant, but it was worth it. He had stopped outside of the restaurant to get an overall look at the place, and it was everything he expected. Every now and then when the doors opened, it was possible to get a hint of the wonderful dishes that were made in this place. Gilbert could already feel himself salivating to the delicious smells coming from this restaurant. Steeling up his nerve, he entered.
The place was beautiful. Tables draped with table clothes and with candles in the center sending the vibe of romance through the air. This would be a good place to work. Walking up to one of the people who seemed to be in charge, or knew who was in charge, he nodded.
“Hallo, could you direct me to Miss Malena Kalenda? I’m here to inquire about the job ad?” He held up the flyer to show what he was talking about.
