Quiet: He tend to not want to talk to others, despite the fact being social is wanted of him. "Have small talk with others and win them over," his father will tell him countless times. Of course, that doesn't mean that Lukas likes it. He finds most people not worth his time, since they're more interested in his status and money than himself as a human being. Intelligent: He's very smart, no doubt about that. Can outsmart his opponent with ease. If need be, he can be cunning and sly as a fox. Manipulating people? No problem whatsoever. Of course, it's not like he uses people then throws them away. He only does it when there isn't any other choice. Indifferent: He's usually called "blunt" and "rude" by others because of his indifferent nature. His father doesn't appreciate the fact, and tells him to change his "attitude" if he wants to have many powerful acquaintances when he takes over. Lukas couldn't care less how many people are fond of him or not and doesn't take his father's wishes under any sort of consideration. Secretive: He doesn't want people to know a lot about him or his past. It isn't their business in the first place. Besides, why should he tell people he doesn't like things personal to him? Protective: He's always looking out for his younger brother. The guy means a lot to Lukas, since he's the only one he thinks of as true family. And judging on how his brother also has health issues, he wants to make sure he's alright and helps him whether or not the other wants it. Emotionless: He's learned to have a serious look on his face, since to his father any sort of emotion means weakness. Also, he finds no reason why people should have any idea what's going on in his head from what expression he has. Though, if one were to look long enough into his eyes, they would see a hint of the feeling he's hiding. Disinterested: He's never really liked the city life. it was loud, busy, and had too many unexpected happenings every minute. He'd rather be out in a forest somewhere, with all the trees and wildlife. Though, he would never admit it to his father. He was sure to complain about how bad of idea that would be. Calm: He has a level-head in most situations. He thinks things through logically and keeps a blank expression on his face. It's rather hard to make him show his anger, though his father makes it seem rather easy. Violent: When angered, he has very violent tendencies. From throwing things to attempting to strangle someone with their tie to hitting them over the head with whatever is accessible. No one sees his little "fits" coming, they never do. Hesitant: He always pauses a bit before doing something. Just a few seconds or so, never longer than a minute. Whether it's making his move in a battle between minds, taking a step outside, or even making decision, he makes time to wait and think things through. He wants to make sure that he doesn't regret anything he does or says. Besides, acting before thinking usually isn't a good thing to do. |

The Supernatural: Being able to see creatures like nisse and trolls is a sort of good thing to him. He knows no one else can see them, and he thinks that they enjoy the fact they have a human friend to hang around and talk to. He doesn't tell anyone about this gift of his, since they're sure to send him to a nuthouse or something of that sort. Nature: He finds forests and the ocean just fascinating, wishing he could go and see them more often. And by more often, more like in person and not in pictures. He insists that his father makes the company eco-friendly, but his requests are always turned down. He plans on changing things once he takes over though. His younger brother: What kind of older brother would he be if he didn't like his sibling? A bad one, that's what. Well, maybe a normal one at least... He can't help that he just wants his little brother to be safe and happy. Reading:He loves books. Not those e-books, the real ones someone can physically hold, flip pages through and feels a small breeze. The smell of ink on paper is one of his favorites. Of course, people might find it odd he enjoys such a scent. Eavesdropping on his father: He listens in on meetings his father has and sometimes snoops for information. He claims it's to get a better idea of how the old man runs the company, but it's just he doesn't trust anything his father tells him. | His father: The old man never had a good vibe at all. He has to be hiding something, but what? Lukas is dead set on finding out... Tomfoolery: Ever since he was a kid, he'd always tried to keep out of trouble. Yet it seems that tricksters made it their duty to drag him into their antics. Even now people try to take him to that casino he hears everyone talk about. He doesn't find such things interesting, only useless. Why should he spend hours trying to win money he already has? Medicine: He knows that taking it would, or is supposed to, help his condition, but he just doesn't like taking it. He finds it annoying and a burden, but does it anyway. He would rather try to find some sort of herbal remedy instead, but he knows "daddy" wouldn't stand for such a thing. "Only the best for my son," his father would say. And since the medicine comes from a doctor his dad hired, he can' help but be a bit suspicious. Weird on how his medicine doesn't really seem to be doing anything... Junkfood: He doesn't want to get that "trash" in his system. Why eat something unhealthy that's good than something healthy and delicious? Though, there are times he'll eat it just for the hell of eating it. Why not have a few cheat days every once in a while? Social events: Balls, birthday parties, concerts, doesn't matter what it is he doesn't want to take part of it. Too many people he doesn't care to talk to in one place. He gets dragged to them, yes, but there are times that he'll lock himself in his room until his father gives up and leaves. |
Dreams | Fears |
Make Maximantics Great: It wouldn't be any good if he drove the company to the ground after he got it. He wants to actually do good with the new responsibility he would receive. If anything, he wants to make the company better than it already is. Keep His Brother Safe: He worries about him, even if the other doesn't want him to. He keeps an eye on him, refraining from interfering with anything since his brother does insist on trying to be more independent. Even so, he isn't against offering aid when he think it may be needed, though it will probably be turned down. Produce a Suitable Heir: That won't be for a long while, of course. He has some time before he needs to do so, but until then he will focus on doing his job. He just hopes when the time comes, he doesn't end up like his father...and that his partner doesn't leave like his mother did... | Mirrors: There is a lot of lore to mirrors, all of which Lukas isn't fond of. It's said that mirrors reflect your soul into them. If that were so, why should anyone get a glimpse of what he's trying to hide? So what might be his solution to this? Shattering the mirrors. He can replace them, money isn't an issue. Just as long as he doesn't see it, everything is fine. Thunderstorms: Even though he does love nature, this part of it terrifies him to no end. It's pretty much an irrational fear, since he has no reason to be afraid of it. Though, if he hears thunder or sees a bit of lightning, he'll hide wherever he can, with all of the lights out. Sometimes he'll even end up crying. If he's out and about, he'll bolt to get home as fast as possible. He'd be freaking out the whole time too, and that isn't good for his condition. Abandonment: He figures that his brother, at some point, will get tired of him and just leave him. He dreads the day that happens. He doesn't want it to, since it would mean he would feel alone. No one else even comes close to what his brother means to him. He doesn't know what he would do if his brother were to just disappear. |
Background |
Lukas was born in Norway and grew up with his father, since his mother left a few years after he was born. He couldn't blame her, since he soon got tired of the way his father treated him. Always expecting so much out of him, only to be disappointed even when Lukas tried his very best. His best just wasn't good enough, it could always be "better". All in all, his father was never really proud of him. Well, until he reached his teenage years. Around the age of 15 his father finally began to have a better mood regarding the fact he was the heir. Was kinder, actually gave compliments with no subtext, and even smiled at him every once in a while. At the time it did mean a lot to him, but now that he think about it he couldn't care less. He figures that moving to London had his father in a better mood. The office there was larger than the one back in Oslo, not to mention there was nothing related to his mother in the new city. Lukas grew up as well as anyone could in the city, though his accented English caused him to stand out quite a bit. By now, the years awarded him with a slight British accent, but it's still possible to hear the foreign tone in his words. Lukas suffers from Angina, though that fact isn't known outside the family. Well, except for the doctor his father hired. There are times that he gets sudden attacks in public places, or even social events. When that happens, he's quickly taken out of the building and to the closest hospital. He doesn't like the illness he has, but he's glad it wasn't as bad as when he was little. He's been told he was born from it, and since he remembers always having it, he can't exactly disagree. He was always one to prefer the outdoors, so it's no surprise to see him walking about the city nowadays. He prefers to go early in the morning, since it's usually not as busy as later on in the day. He tries to not venture too far from where he's supposed to be, usually at home or at the office building, but sometimes it can't be helped. He makes sure not to go farther than a few blocks, so he can return when needed. |

Lukas smiled slightly at the other's words. The Fin sure seemed like an...interesting person. He had to admit, he kind of liked it since people his father pushes him toward were boring sticks in the mud. If only he knew more...fun people, ones that didn't care about his inheritance he would soon earn. Surely he would be more social if he did. "Oh, no, I could never wake up without caffeine," he laughed lightly, which might have seemed odd to people who knew him well. He wasn't one to show emotions often, especially on such a topic as that. It wasn't funny to the servants of the house if he didn't get any coffee in the morning, that was for sure. Tea would lessen his "wrath", though it didn't have anywhere close to the same effect as coffee...which was why coffee was always sure to be at hand. Of course, if it wasn't made right they might end up having it thrown right in their face... He really should try to control his temper, but it was so unpredictable that even he couldn't deal with it. He could try to keep it down, though how much he held it back varied. It could be a few minutes, sometimes a few seconds. "Like you, I prefer coffee above all else. Nothing really compares to it," he added, running a hand through his hair. He would drink tea if he ran out of coffee, though he didn't like the taste of it. Coffee ran through his veins, not these herbal bags the people in this country love. How can people like tea over coffee anyway? They must have been raised to like such tasteless things, judging how they can call the normal English food "good" and "delicious". They also must have an iron stomach for being able to hold it down. "...Oh, how rude of me, I haven't introduced myself. Name's Lukas," he hesitantly said, holding a hand out for the other to shake. It would have been rude if he didn't, right? It was bad enough people called him rude due to his indifferent nature, the last thing he wanted it to be was because he wasn't polite in any way. |
