Munch munch munch munch.
Donald had been eating from the same bag of crisps since the middle of the drive. He was simply eating in the silence within the car Vash was driving. Thank God he was too because the ginger could see the conspicuous vexation on his face based off the reflection on the rear view mirror. Aoife—eh well, she was just being Aoife. Of course she left a gap between them in the four-seater, opting to place the suitcase of handguns to physically separate them. The man didn’t complain; nope, he was just eating his crisps to rid the terrible feeling that was hunger.
Hopefully, this amount of salty deliciousness would quell any symptoms of hunger to prevent any bumps in the mission. It was annoying sometimes, even he would admit it, but Donald had to. It was a mental thing. Thankfully this was easily resolved through eating the snack, albeit he could’ve eaten it beforehand. The chewing and crunch of the crisps in his mouth and the way the plastic bag crinkled to the movement was disturbing the silence in the most awkward way possible.
Yeah, his teammates were probably annoyed unless their minds were occupied with the mission. Donald hoped the two were more in tune on the latter with Vash concurrently focused on the road. With all seriousness, he didn’t want them to be fussy about him. Aoife was an exception, sort of—she had a reason to be a little hostile. Nonetheless, he was damn aware that their cooperation, despite all differences, was vital. This was an MI6 mission after all, and though Donald would gladly provide comic relief, he was also keen and intent on success.
Inside looking out the tinted windows, the man propped his arm against the glass and gazed at the building they were nearing. He popped another crisp in his mouth. “Hrmm… looks like we’re ‘ere eh? Find that parkin’ rendezvous, Chipper.” Of course—one of many nicknames for Vash. “Looks like we’ve got ourselves in a helluva ride.”

Driving the car with the sound of the incessant munching wasn't very amusing. Nor was the potential crumbs in the car. This wasn't Vash's own vehicle, of course, but he would prefer keeping the vehicle as clean as possible. With crisps of the somewhat greasy, colorful quality, it wasn't guaranteed that this vehicle was going to come up as clean as possible. But of course, who was Vash to blame? He was conned into doing this, but he needed the pay. And this wasn't his own car. No Agent would go around using his own car on missions. You can get your plates traced that way. Vash preferred to be a very careful man.
This mission had to be carried out carefully. The word "organ smuggling" posed the risk of losing your own organ. Vash preferred to keep his organs. After all, how in Gandalf's name was he going to explain losing an organ as an accident at the bank? You don't simply lose your organs while you're banking and balancing checkbooks. You have to have the worst luck to lose an organ in the line of banking. Vash wasn't known for his unluckiness. Plus... damn, the hospital bills and needing surgery. That sucks. His team was the pair of Irish twins. Aoife was a very capable woman and knew how to hold her place. She could easily fight an army of one thousand (not literally, those she could probably fight off at five without so much help), but her stubborn mannerisms weren't always going to help. She was simply too headstrong. But Vash could speak. Look at how compromising Vash could be. Donald could do the talking. He had many words to spare. But it just might not be a good idea to let him talk too much either. Though it would be somewhat amusing to see him lose an organ, that wasn't a good idea for covers.
But okay, working as a team was essential. Because going into an organ smuggling ring and trying to disassemble it singlehandedly is suicide. Your body parts will be scattered across the land.
"Shut up, it's not Chipper. It's Zwingli for you," Vash hissed. He wasn't the kind of guy that enjoyed nicknames. He wasn't a fun kind of guy anyways. But once they reach wherever they must go, toleration and common sense would kick in. |

MOD - SISTER ELIZABETH The sister was pleased with the volunteers that had appeared that night. For the reason was that it didn't matter to her on who volunteered, be it the poorest of man or the richest of CEO's, it only matters for the reason of why they volunteered and that they're trying to help. "Son, just give it to the people who are handing out the food - there's no need to keep the hungry waiting."Indeed, it hurts her to see so many people who are unable to support themselves, either they truly are homeless or they had just lost their job. The soup kitchen was open for all.

Aoife O’Neill was too busy contemplating certain things to notice the loud munching noises Donny was making as the car drove on, having decided before the start of the journey she would deliberately block out whatever was going on around her. Green eyes were locked on the scenery passing by the window, and she continued to ignore her twin whilst she sat there, wondering to herself why she had even mentioned to Donny about this mission. Then he wouldn't have tagged along. That might have been nice... Less noisy, that was certain. And also, probably less of a hassle. After all, she was now pretty much stuck with a team that wouldn't get along. Sure; she and Vash had a good work relationship. They were colleagues, and had both been in the field together before. Both respected each other’s skills, even if Aoife thought he was too trigger-happy and Vash probably had the impression she was a hot-head (something she didn't blame him for; Aoife herself was well aware of her infamous temper)... But they both knew they were reliable and worked well together; tolerated each other. She trusted Vash Zwingli with her life, and Aoife hoped that the feeling was mutual.
No; it was Donny that was the major problem. The guy... her idiot brother... was going to get on everyone’s nerves at this rate. He’d already managed to piss of Vash before when they were in the lab, and Aoife could only imagine that it was just going to get worse. She let out a heavy sigh at that thought, trying to ignore the blond man’s irritated reply to something Donny had said to him. They had to work together for this mission to work, but at the moment it wasn't really looking so good for the team.
Running a hand through thick red curls, Aoife yawned slightly and leaned back in her seat, briefly glancing at the case that was currently acting as a barrier between herself and her “male counterpart”. Tonight was going to be a really long night. Fingers crossed the mission was a success.
“Oi, Vash,” The red-headed woman spoke up tiredly, trying to divert the subject from whatever it was said agent and the other redhead were previously talking about. “Are y’sure yer all righ’ with bein’ decoy? If not, yer can always change yer mind an’ I can take over.” It wasn't that Aoife doubted Vash would be able to hold his own; it was more that she knew that she had a bit more experience in playing the undercover role.

"Shut up, it's not Chipper. It's Zwingli for you,"
Donald sucked in a breath, stifling laughter. Instead he smirked at his impish reflection on the window, as of the two of them were celebrating in the success of their ruse. He decided not to push it, opting to triumphantly pop a crisp in his mouth. The man was used to this kind of behavior so it didn’t bother him at all. In addition, he was confident that those words were not meant to do harm. At least that was what he was going to tell himself anyway.
But well it looks like he was forgiven for his little quips. Aoife didn’t seem to mind all of the munching too. Oh—on the second thought, never mind. He only had to take a short gander at her side to realize that she still had that expression on. That expression of perpetual unhappiness. He let out an inaudible sigh as he leaned against the window. Meh. He kind of wished he took this mission with Sadiq and Raffie instead—at least they were more fun. Yet this was probably a good and balanced team of ‘stick-up-the-ass’ and ‘good fun’, if he can put a word for it.
“Are y’sure yer all righ’ with bein’ decoy? If not, yer can always change yer mind an’ I can take over.”
“Absoolute-ly-not!” Donald butted in, making sure to drawl out the words to cement his point. “Chipper is capable—yes, he’ll b’fine, yea? Ye caen’t predict much o’ ‘bout th’ lawless. Fer all we know, maybe his grumpy demeanor’ll is convincin’ enough te them! ‘Ave a little faith in ‘im wouldya—unless ye think ye can pull off a grumpier face than him.”
He forced a cheerful grin, one that belied how he felt. Inwardly, he was thankful that Iain decided to pin that job against Vash. Not that he didn’t care about Vash, it was just that he didn’t want Aoife anywhere near needles and knives—just two of the many things he was expecting to see in this upcoming mission. Admittedly, he wanted to make sure his twin was going to be all right here, for that was the reason why he was so tenacious about being a part of the party. He had been debriefed about this mission before Aoife mentioned it—and this was certainly not going to be a walk in the park.

He really wondered why the heck he decided to work with Donald. But of course, it was usual for him to be coerced to work with the twins. He couldn't complain, there were much worse candidates to go on missions with him.He has no right to complain about Donald's work ethic or how Aoife can dwarf both of the men in strength and umph factor. Her presence could emanate masculinity, but in a nicely wrapped package of a feminine figure that many a men feared. She's a good comrade to have around, but damn it, it makes you very insecure of just how masculine you could be. Vash was more likely to trust Aoife with his life than to trust her brother. And he did. Personally, going into missions solo was very dangerous, and it felt somewhat comfortable to have someone who had your back... and a potential meat shield. Well that's a cruel thought, but it was true, Agents tended to prefer that their partners were shot instead of them. Vash wasn't the kind of person that was easy to shoot at, however.
It somewhat pissed off Vash that Donald had the strength to laugh and to be eating crisps at the moment. Doesn't he worry that he'll get the crumbs in the car, a car that was most certainly not his but the government's, and would have to clean it up later? Didn't he worry that he could potentially lose an organ or two or that he was going to delve into an illegal organ trading cartel? If anything, why not give Donald the fun job of being the decoy? Donald should be worrying but not showing it, staying silent and calculating his every move. Of course he wasn't going to do that. He was Donald Finn O'Neill-Kirkland, and he was going to do as he wishes.
But of course, Donald was a somewhat capable agent. He knew what he was capable of doing, and unfortunately, he knew what went on in those dastardly places. He knew because he was once a part of those kinds of organizations, though not organ smuggling specifically. He knew the social structure, the way they ran things, and how they created their chaos. It was fortunate he had been able to grab a career at MI6, considering that his criminal record was a tad bit extensive. That was perhaps the power of Aoife in the works.
“Oi, Vash, are y’sure yer all righ’ with bein’ decoy? If not, yer can always change yer mind an’ I can take over,” Aoife said. Vash really didn't have objections about being the decoy (even if it was a position that the Q had forced upon him), and he could hold out on his own, yes. There was just a little bit of a tickle in the conscience here. A few concerns, if you will.
"Absoolute-ly-not! Chipper is capable—yes, he’ll b’fine, yea? Ye caen’t predict much o' 'bout th' lawless. Fer all we know, maybe his grumpy demeanor’ll is convincin’ enough te them! 'Ave a little faith in ‘im wouldya—unless ye think ye can pull off a grumpier face than him." Donald chimed in. Again with Chipper. Where the heck does this guy get his nicknames? But besides the point (and besides the comment on his "grumpy" expression), there was definitely a concern with having Aoife as the decoy in participating with this organ smuggling cartel. Call it sexist if you will, but this was going to be awful business. You'll see needles, you'll see saws, you'll see dismembered bodies and people more up close and personal than you would like to see them, depending on the nature of this organization. And with women, well... with organizations like these, organ smugglers tend to target a woman's uterus and ovaries. There's a great business in those two feminine organs, and those two things, the tissues of human creation, there was a lot of experimentation you could do with those two things, not just sell them to egg banks. Scientists could do some dastardly things and with Aoife's fiery hair, well you can assume she carried the genetic code in there. Vash most certainly didn't have any concerns over her not being able to handle the job, but this was serious business. And frankly, organ smugglers won't be going after your balls, there's enough of that in the world.
"Don't worry about it, I'll do it. If anyone's going to have to decoy and be strapped down to whatever sick table they have, it would be me. I trust you'd be able to get me out of that situation," he said simply, the car halting to a stop.
Let the show begin. There will be blood. |

MOD - DOCTOR HEINRICH AMSEL-FRIEDMANN He has accepted this job, and while he was in need of subjects in the beginning - this job doesn't even help him at all with this need of supplies. Why? Only because of the fact that he needed living subjects with all of their organs. Not dead ones, and if he's lucky enough - living subjects but with the absence of their organs. After all, how can he go about bettering the society that he lurks with when he isn't sure about the full potential of his research? Yet, he needed the money in the first place. And it was mocking him that he was doing such a dirty deed at the Cathedral... however in the name of science, he has to defile God's creations and even in front of him if need be. He was after all, sitting in the Cathedral in small prayer - until he felt the urge to leave for fresh air - and when he did leave the building, there was a car that drove to a stop - and a few other men from the group that he was hired around also. Another victim. Perhaps this one shall have a greater purpose in life.

There was a deep-seated frown etched on her face as Aoife listened to Donald's reaction to her earlier comment. It made her want to roll her eyes at him. Did he think she wasn't capable of looking after herself or something? Sure, the mission was going to be a hard one, but Aoife was well aware of the fact she could protect herself. After all, in her job, she was constantly being thrown into tough situations, and yet she was still here; completely fine. The redhead clicked her tongue in frustration, but otherwise made no comment to express her annoyance. There was no point in starting an argument right before the mission. However, Vash's remark did manage to make her smile slightly.
"Damn right I'd get you out of the situation," Aoife smirked, a slightly teasing tone resonating in her voice. "Just don't forget to give us a signal the moment things start to look bad, yeah?" After all, they didn't really want one of MI6's best agents to be losing a kidney any time soon. That would just be a bloody awful disaster back at HQ, and for everyone involved in the mission. "...Be careful though, Vash." She hesitated, the smirk dropping slightly back into a frown.
The car drew to a stop outside the cathedral, and the redheaded woman glanced out of the window. Already waiting outside was a man, watching them. Looks like they already had company. Aoife stared at him through the glass, eyes narrowed slightly. It was obvious from outset that this guy had to have been involved with this whole illegal organ smuggling operation being run from St. Paul's Cathedral. That made Aoife instantly dislike him...
"Hey look. One of those bastards is already here to greet us," Aoife muttered sarcastically, before sneering and turning to face her brother in the seat beside her. "What's the plan, then? We let him take Vash inside and then go in all guns blazing, or what?"

Memories broken The truth goes unspoken I’ve even forgotten my name I don’t know the season Or what is the reason I’m standing here holding my blade A desolate place Without any trace It’s only the cold wind I feel It was fortunate that he had not decided to voice just what exactly he believed an organ smuggler would do with a woman. He would have perhaps preached those thoughts and assumptions.
"Damn right I'd get you out of the situation. Just don't forget to give us a signal the moment things start to look bad, yeah?" she smirked. Hopefully this mission wouldn't come to that. After all, if he were stuck in a sticky situation, would he feel confident that they would really be able to break through for him and get him out of such a situation?
"...Be careful though, Vash." she warned. And careful, he was to be. Even with the thoughts of not having the most desired organs, you really never know what to expect. With these science-infused types, you can be sure that psychological terror will be used eventually...
"Thank you, but hopefully I won't require your assistance," he said, looking out the window and seeing the figure of a man. He felt in the back seat of his mind a bit of warning. The atmosphere was filled with warning and the sense of the actual possibility of losing an organ seemed much more likely.
She turned towards her brother. "Hey look. One of those bastards is already here to greet us. What's the plan, then? We let him take Vash inside and then go in all guns blazing, or what?"
"I'll answer that one. I'm going out there alone. Do keep a good eye on me, though. And hide the car. Donald, you're taking the wheel," he answered without waiting for Donald's reply. He slowly unbuckled his seat belt.
"Hand me the suit case, hopefully the faux documents will get me through. Just remember that I'll be going by a pseudonym, Erich Chastain, who we had detained a couple weeks ago. Go by your fake identities if you're noticed, and hope for the best," he said, taking the suitcase and slowly opening the door, the cold air of a London night chilling him to the bone.
He approached the man and decided to fake a French accent.
"Are you the man in question? I have the information someone of your company requested. Don't worry about the money transaction, I'm certain you have already wired the monies to my employer's account. The name is Erich Chastain."
The gun in the inside of his suit pocket was unlocked and ready for any sudden movement. The question would be: would he need it? And would he be able to pull it out in time? Words: 427 Notes: Pfff Amy, I'll still read it in an Irish accent Tagged: Donald, Aoife

MOD - DOCTOR HEINRICH AMSEL-FRIEDMANN Apparently this was a person who had been tricked and deceived. Though, such a talk - normally the doctor was left out of such planning. All he was been told was to cut the person open and take the demanded organ. That's all. Such the matter of transactions, wiring the money, and what have you were all just never mentioned to him. It's often that his money was stained in blood - literally. Thrown to him carelessly into the messy room. He didn't know why he was with such a group as this in the first place. Certainly there were other places where he could earn more with plenty more respect... and less mess. "I... I see..." It was a half-hearted attempt to act. "Then would you want to move else where to look over the documents? It looks as if it's about to become quite a shower." He looked up, and looked at the looming clouds. Besides, there were too many street lights.

"Look at you two," Donald chimed after Vash left the vehicle without wait. He kept this short in fear of getting hit for the ghost of the rest of the joke.
He always had an eye for potential couples and it always brought great humor to him to imagine Aoife and Vash together. Of course, his sister never tolerated such talk of romance--neither has she tolerated much of what he said, to be frank. Crisps and jokes aside, he decided it was time to throw in the rag and get going. After neatly putting the crinkled bag away, Donald adjusted his tie to tighten it. It was a gesture of getting a 'wee bit' more serious.
What never left his face was the airy, debonair grin. No matter what the circumstance, it had always been plastered on his lips. An easy situation or a difficult one, the smile had its magic of appearing, even in the most despairing times. This one, though, marked the beginning of a mission and the excitement that trembled before it. The butterflies fluttered inside him as if it was his first mission. Blame it on his good luck or his cockiness, but Donald already knew this mission was going to close with him as the victor. He knew this because of how he held the rosary in his coat pocket, feeling the wooden beads between his fingertips. It gave him strength.
"Keep it going, chap," Donald called out to the driver. With that, the car continued forward.
They were to go to the rendezvous and prepare a couple of critical equipment in the back. Stealth was required from this point on, something that was particularly a part of Donald's finesse. He somewhat worried for his dragontongue sister, who had a penchant for spitting out fire and "go in guns blazin'" the moment she finds it. Though they contrasted in almost every attribute, the MI6 did good by pairing them together. They have been keeping each other in check.
"From this point on, sis, I'd like te come back with fewer injuries, seein' how ye have a thing for inflicting half o' em o'er the enemy," He quipped, sounding genial as ever. His fingers ran down the rosary as he gazed out the tinted windows, his reflection greeting him with a serene expression. Yes, the MI6 did good by pairing them together. This way, he could watch after her.

Memories broken The truth goes unspoken I’ve even forgotten my name I don’t know the season Or what is the reason I’m standing here holding my blade A desolate place Without any trace It’s only the cold wind I feel Of course, the feeling was growing very, very apparent that this man wasn't going to be the friendliest guy around, in the sort of ominous sense. The sense you would want to shake off. A normal person would perhaps decide it best be time to get going, while things weren't too convoluted just yet, to leave before any of the action could happen. Of course, Vash didn't happen to be a normal person. In fact, the bad feeling was perhaps a good indicator that this would be where investigation needed. It was no longer fear that he felt, as a normal person would. It was precaution. It was to keep your guard up... and the nagging sense that a certain girl back home wasn't going to be too happy if he came back a bit too scratched up. Hopefully he won't need to get too scratched up here and now. The goal would be to bust the organ smuggling operation by finding evidence of... organs not in bodies. Simple enough.
It was a sickening thought that this trade was even profitable. Oh what people do for money.
"I... I see... Then would you want to move else where to look over the documents? It looks as if it's about to become quite a shower."
Good progress. Very good progress. It would seem that he wouldn't need to search on his own if he were being taken to a place, then.
"Yes, I believe that would be wise. Wouldn't want to be caught in the rain. Where would you like to review the documents?"
He kept calm and calculated, showing neither discomfort or relaxation. This will be how things would have to go from here on out. No fear, no regrets or worries, none of that could be shown.
But he just couldn't help but see the worry etched on her face in the back of his mind. Words: 317 Notes: Gah Tagged: Donald, Aoife

MOD - "GABRIEL" It looked like rain. And since it hadn't been clear how long they'd been waiting outside, Gabriel had brought an umbrella along. It was folded up still, and in his hands; he had yet to use it, and perhaps he wouldn't need to – it sounded as if this would all be under way shortly. He cast his eyes in a short glance up towards the doctor's figure, towering above and ahead of him; he'd hung back whilst the blond man had introduced himself. Where to view the documents, he had asked...? Gabriel supposed, taking a step forwards, he himself could answer that. “Please allow me to accompany you.” He addressed Erich Chastain with politeness, his eyes bold and rounded. Innocence was what he was aiming for – there was less suspicion lying with a little boy than there was with the shady doctor he was accompanying. He turned, expecting the blond man to pursue.

Memories broken The truth goes unspoken I’ve even forgotten my name I don’t know the season Or what is the reason I’m standing here holding my blade A desolate place Without any trace It’s only the cold wind I feel "Please allow me to accompany you." a child said. Had the child not said anything, Vash would not have noticed the child. It was a bit strange to see a small child with this obviously nervous doctor.
What is a child doing in an organ smuggling operation?
It was concerning. Perhaps the child was going to be harvested to pay for family debts. The child's eyes were a beautiful shade of green, not unlike his own sister's eyes. What a shame... Vash's instincts told him that getting the child out of there had just became an objective of the mission.
The child turned around, expecting "Erich" to follow. It felt just a bit strange that the child was leading him to where the organ smuggling operations were, assuming that operations were really happening. He followed withoutmuch of a word.
Donald, you better be following stealthily in the car.
He pressed the third button of his suit goat in order to release a GPS signal. The GPS in the car would then blink with his location. However, with the path they were going, it seemed Donald was going to have to get out of the car.
The trio crossed into an alley, apparently going towards a back door.
Literally a back door operation.
"Boy, where are we? I need to go out for dinner with my... wife after this, so it would be nice to know how far my car is from here."
A really bad excuse, but realistic.
"And Doctor, how long do you think this engagement shall last?"
Donald if you are listening in and laughing, damn you. Words: 269 Notes: Too low please forgive me Tagged: Donald, Aoife

"Look at you two"
The comment from the other O'Neill earned a snort of irritation and a rather angry glare in his direction. Aoife really was not in the mood for this sort of banter; especially not from the idiot that unfortunately was her twin brother. Luckily for her temper, Donald didn't seem to consider going any further with the joke, and the mood became just that tad bit more serious. Good thing too. Seriously; Aoife O'Neill and Vash Zwingli?! Tch! Hell will freeze over and pigs will fly before that little "pairing" Donny had in mind would come into affect.
Anyway, no point dwelling on trivial matters. The car was already edging away, and Vash had disappeared from their sights not long before that. Without a word, Aoife went to work of adjusting her earpiece to hear exactly what was going on between their colleague and these lawless folks. The briefcase that had been at her side was now in the process of getting unlocked, and the contents being put together quickly to assemble the handguns they would need later on.
"Do me a favour, Archangel, and shut up," the sister hissed, momentarily glancing towards the driver's seat. The moment she began to refer to people by their codenames, you could always tell things had just got serious for Miss O'Neill. "I can't hear what's being said." The redhead frowned, straining to listen to the conversation that was taking place.
...There was a kid there? What? Now, this definitely hadn't been part of the background info they'd be warned about back at the SiS building. Biting her lip, Aoife turned her attention once more back to Donald, a frown creasing her brow.
"Something's not right here. I don't like the sound of this. Seems like there's a kid there or... something."
Emerald eyes moved to the window, trying to get a view of what might have been taking place. Of course, no such luck.
"You're keeping track of him, right?"
