Roderich doesn't have many friends, mainly because he acknowledges only a select few as such. He often chooses to go without confiding in anyone about his troubles, yet there are a few people who have managed to bear witness to his more laidback side. Mostly those with the same appreciation for music, or the arts (or baking) at least. He does not have very high regard for his friends and doesn't consider himself to have any loyalties. He spent some time (a good five years) working for the M16 before he quit his job and has now been working (for another 5 years) at the government. enemies. Perhaps such enemies arise because of his lack of loyalties. Other times, it could be because he can come off as aloof and stuck-up more often than not. There are definitely some people he has wronged before and there are others, he considers to be his enemies because he was not treated how he would've liked to be treated. Then there are times when people just peeve him. loves. Roderich is not much of a romantic. He doesn't know how to woo people on purpose and more often than not, manages to do so accidentally, without really meaning to. But he dates around sometimes. He just never gets far. Either he becomes fickle and can't fathom pursuing a relationship with the person he is seeing or the other person gets fed up with his personality. Roderich thinks too far ahead sometimes because of his apparent insecurities. He is known to have dated women so far, but he is not completely adverse to dating men. others. Again, Roderich is a very well-connected man (mostly because of his careers). He meets all kinds of people, people who might not fall into the above mentioned categories, that or it could fall somewhere in a gray area in between.

Roderich and Gilbert

I'm still working out the kinks, like a feasible back story. What we have to work with so far is that Roderich used to work for the M16 (and now the government), while as of late, Gilbert is a double agent ...Perhaps they need something from each other? Evidence, information, etc. *mind explodes* and then maybe somewhere in all of this, teach him how to fire a gun let's be frenemies ohh and I figure we could use a liquid board for them first.

Roderich and Ludwig

They both work for the government and they both love baking. I am seeing the potential for a mutual if very unsmiling friendship there. What do you think?

Perhaps a business meeting of some sort is in order? They could be friends because of the frequency of their meetings and because their inner circles coincide (both being part of the government and all |D) and then they always eventually talk about the best way to bake a cake.

That sounds like a good idea! They certainly would run with the same crowd, so a friendship coming from work makes sense. And then we can just write more from there.

Any ideas on how to properly add backstory? I keep getting this feeling that it's going to be severely lacking if we start up a thread with as little as that to work with. I reckon we need specifics at least. Even if we're just connection building with each other. Ehehe. Maybe we could decide here and now the premise of the meeting? o:

Hmm... backstory. :Ia Obviously they would have first met through government work, I am guessing. Ludwig would have been too young to meet him while he was working at MI6, but Ludwig also studied law, so he might have paid a visit to Roderich's current place of work before he himself got elected.

As for the premise of the meeting... would Roderich have any reason to confer with the members of Parliament regularly? That could be a thing.

I suppose, there could be. Where he's at most of the time and what he does is pretty flexible. They could also run into each other a couple of times at functions and the like. He drafts contracts and wills. Does legal paperwork, basically. He can be approached for that sort of stuff (ranges from personal issues wills, matrimonial, family matters, personal injury claims, criminal litigation to protecting the rights of individuals). I'm pretty sure it means something that he's been 5 years into the field after quitting the M16. \o/

Ok, things I have thought of of because of other plots;
They should meet somewhere-not-the-MI6, because I think Gil is not only virtually invisible to most agents, word could also reach Ludwig that his brother is actually a good guy thus ruining germanbros drama.

Maybe Gil can break into Rod's apartment to look for oficial papers (for the mob's whatever purposes)? Haha, I have zero ideas, I'm so sorry.

My brain's pretty fried because I'm sick but I think this works. /o/ maybe somebody filed a case against somebody important in his faction and there's some cleaning up to do or there's a piece of land/property/etc that they need and he has the legal documents for it, to be owned by...someone else or...yes. |D
