Alfred and Ivan

I want to do something between these two. Something...enemy-ish. They ARE America and Russia, after all. XD

To fill you in on something that may help (or may not XD) - Linh is a double agent working for the MI6 as an undercover agent in the London underworld. Alfred has taken a vested interest in Linh lately - Namely a report he received from an anonymous source that someone is out for Linh's blood. In the thread we're doing, he's about to pull her out of the bookstore she works at as a cover job just before it blows up.

So...that's about where Alfred stands with the criminal underworld so far. He's barely poking his nose in it, but will likely end up far more involved than a cop should because of his penchant for poking his nose into people's business and seeking out trouble.

So yeah...just thought I'd tell you that little tidbit. Hopefully we can work out something for these two!

@gil: I've been waiting for you to bother me. Just prepare to be bothered back. A lot. Of course, I doubt it can stay from getting rotten for long, knowing the two. So, what'd you have in mind? And which mob does Gil work for? Depending on that and his rank, he and Ivan could very well do/have done business together.

Or, hell, Gil could be working for Ivan, if you want to. He'd have to have a lower rank in that case, but, yeah. He does sound fitting for a Boyevik, though; basically they're the main strike force for the group and are in charge of beating people up and stuff.

Either way, Ivan won't be happy when he hears about Gil's true alignment |D Funtimes~

Pfft, I can totally see him poking his nose too deep and ending up on Ivan's "people in the way" -list. And hmm, about that thing with Linh, maybe Alfred could end up getting involved in Ivan's business by trying to find out who tried to get her outta the way? Maybe he's heard Ivan's in the mafia, and since mafia = ebil, gaiz, he could logically be behind it? Except he's not, and doesn't take well to being accused.

I dunno, open to anything. Heck, something casual yet tension-filled could be fun. Like, they could just casually bump into each other in a cafe and not even know the others' alignments at first, only gradually learning they're enemies and hate each others' guts through chitchat and differing world views. 8P

I actually intented for him to be someone's minion; he needs his orders so he can pass them on to the agents. Not that Ivan would know, at first.
Gil could go as far as being some right hand man for Ivan (mostly for the sake or having a lot of screen time together), doing all the work.

He would try to wiggle out from killing 'unecessarily', but that doesn't keep Gil from helping out in the rest of the business, whatever they may be. Extortion, kinapping and arseny are all fine, man.


As for fucking Gil up, hehehe. Bring it on, but later uvu let us be friends once first, also so we can plot how everything goes to hell.

I can definitely see Alfred falsely accusing Ivan and getting himself involved deeper in crap.

I like the idea of them meeting up and not getting off on the right foot straight away and it only getting worse as they start to learn each other's alignments, yus.

[Funny thing being that, in history, the U.S. and Russia actually were on pretty decent terms before the Soviet Union came into play. But for the sake of this roleplay, I think we should operate on the 20th and 21st century terms, no? XD]

But yeah, the better their relations before the truth gets revealed, the more deliciously cruel dramatic the aftermath. If they have barely met, there won't be much shock value to his betrayal, right~? So yess, friendship boss/underling relations first! Oh, also, Ivan should definitely, at some point in a conversation about something completely different, happen to mention a guy who betrayed him before, and detail what happened to the poor man. Would be interesting to see Gilbert keep his face straight, he.

So, as far as threads go, the two should probably take up a mission together at some point in addition to just liquid board conversations. I think we should start with a liquid board convo somewhere first though, to kinda see where they're at right now. Ideas~?

I think that the body guard function and a man who gets some say in the matters could both blend well into Gil's character, why not. I like the idea of getting a mission together too! I love the idea of letting Gil know what’s coming for him, ha.

Well, we can start a casual one and see where that takes us. Maybe getting a drink after a business meeting?

Gilbert probably won't have a terribly lot to say in all matters, because Ivan himself isn't the big boss yet, but he'll listen to his advice, sure~ Unless they go directly against what he had in mind, he's a bit adamant about his ideas |D Still, yeah, he'll have some say. Wouldn't tie into his secret identity otherwise.

Am thinking the scene will happen after the plot advanced quite far. Preferably when something bad happen in the Bratva or Ivan got shot by Gil someone unexpected. So it might be happen in linear. I imagine the wound wasn't a fatal one, but Kat being Kat--haven't seen her bro in years and suddenly showed up bleeding--she might shatter. Plus I actually dunno if Kat worked for Bratva or not since I have no idea who employed her.

Or, we can give Ivan a fatal wound and he died in her arms, not knowing he has met his sestra. why this turned into such a drama

Tino's very interested in the Russian Mafia and he's going to start exploring London and keeping old newspaper articles with anything about the Mob in them. I can see Tino maybe learning about Ivan's involvement before they meet? That or it could be a chance exchange somewhere and maybe they start to see the same faces around and grow suspicious or something XD. Tino has the bad habit of being nosy and doing things on his own without permission. You might also find him sneaking around the Ivan's workplace, if he has one separate from his living space XD

@kat: Ooh, yeah, I like the idea that it actually ties into the linear plot. It means more and has a bigger impact to him that wayyy. He’s going to be all sorts of messed up when he realizes he’s being treated by his big sister too. He didn’t exactly want her to see him like that after all the years apart.

The only problem is, that's probably gonna take a while pfft.

Sounds like we have quite a bit to work with, then! Like, ooh, how about, maybe Ivan could have heard that someone’s been snooping around, so he sets off to find the guy in question in order to find out what he knows and who he works for. And so, he could find Tino and just pretend to be some random person / victim of the mob at first to get Tino to converse with him. And then at some point, Tino can realize that ‘nooope something up with this guy’, and/or Ivan could start to very delicately threaten him not to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong and. Maybeitcouldevenbecomeafight. Somethin’ like that?

I also have no idea what Ivan’d think of her after all these years. She’s his sister so he loves her althoughnotthatway, but the last he remembers she scared the crap outta him so he doesn’t what to expect and fsst it’ll be all dramatic.
