ARTHUR KIRKLAND Another Kirkland to torment. \uvu/ FRIENDS Arthur’s not the easiest person to get along with, so friends tend to be few and far between—given that he has a tendency to be rather blunt and cynical to the point of occasionally offending others. His view of the world is usually negatively oblique and he has a bitter tongue to match, if you ever get the chance to taste it. -u- If you enjoy that brand of humour and don’t mind the occasional pessimism, then it’s possible to pull him into a tentative friendship. While Arthur comes across as courteous and gentlemanly with acquaintances (as he aims to make a notable first impression), don’t expect that courteous behaviour to run too deeply. He’s more prone to testing the rules, straining against his boundaries, and challenging authority and society’s expectations. He’s a rebel at heart—and it’s still hot in his blood, no matter how much the judicial society has attempted to ‘reform’ him. Friendships with him vary with each person, some will remain polite acquaintances, others will know him a little more intimately, and some will be more prone to his attempts to sway them into his world. ENEMIES These are rather easy for him to make—Arthur is likely to have more enemies than friends as a former anarchist criminal who defied society by making dents in its foundation. After he was arrested, he turned over quite a bit of information that resulted in the dismantling of the organisation that he was involved in. In return, he was conditionally acquitted and offered a deal. As a result, he may have a reputation as a snitch, a traitor among the criminal community. There are also likely enemies on the other side who don’t believe that he should have been offered any sort of deal to begin with. Aside from enemies connected to his past, it’s possible that there are just people who dislike him in general. He can be a disagreeable, argumentative, and sarcastic young man who can rub others the wrong way. If he dislikes you, while he won’t be completely upfront about it, but you’ll know. LOVERS Arthur’s not traditionally romantic, although there is a small, hidden part of him that harbours the potential for it. He doesn’t exactly scorn the idea of love, but he has had some harsh experiences with it. He’s only had a couple of lovers (amongst others) in the past that he regarded as more than a fleeting fancy, more than quick, passionate nights between the sheets. He has more skill, passion, and urgency with physical intimacy over really knowing how to be warm and affectionate. But this comes easier with people he already has that connection with. FAMILY You know who you are, dysfunctional family members. If you find yourself placed here, then it’s likely either a strained, unhealthy, or a distant relationship, although deep down, Arthur wishes that it weren’t. Like any other person who grew up with a messy family system, he wants healthier relationships with them (esp. with his siblings), because no matter how badly you make a mess of things, blood is blood and they will never leave you.

hai I have a loser named Nesia here who is a double agent. She works for the MI6 and Bratva (the Russian mafia), and currently dates their boss in order to get more information eue. She also works as a showgirl in the casino and some odd jobs here and there which mostly a cover for whatever the MI6 assigns to her. She is particularly close to Vash and Aoife.

Arthur and the Kiwi
yespleasebemydosageofcutealriiight. So, yes! I like the idea of Wes here being brought over to Arthur's unimpressive home get taken care of. He needs someone else in the home atm pfff. It's too quiet and Arthur needs the company kaay. There will be lots of fluff, tea, knitted sweaters, and cozy fireplaces in exchange. uvu
Arthur and Donald
YES PLS. These two, mg. So, they have similar pasts so we should use that excessively ffff. If you'd like, we can also toss back ideas with what their tumultuous childhoods would've looked like, haha. I'm not sure how well they would've gotten along back then... but hey, that's something! Currently, perhaps their very similar experiences could be something that would draw them together in a way? I imagine that they both carry the stigma of being a rat among the lawless community.. and perhaps not being entirely accepted by the other side. (or so I'm making up atm ffff) Donald seems to have more religious undertones with his motivation, whereas Arthur was just angry and vindictive with the world. >w> So, I think it'd be fun to play with those parallels as well~ REGARDLESS, Arthur really does want to reconnect with his siblings, no matter how stuffy he may come across, hah. Thoughts?
WeshoulddoaKirklandthreadorsomething. If not that, then maybe just a sibling one with these two? ovo
Arthur and Chelsea
plsbotherarthur. I would love that. So much. =u= //doessheneedalastminutebabysitter?fdjskl; that image alone... hahaha.
Arthur and Nesia
If Nesia's connected to the M16, then I can see them eventually crossing paths through their work alone, at least! And if she's already close to Aoife, then that's another connection. Arthur mostly works close with the government as an undercover defence contractor, so I feel like we could maybe be overlord-muns in this situation and concoct something so that their assignments might sometimes cross? Although, with Nesia being a double agent, I can see it getting pretty tricky and complicated. ovo
(MONAS. So we already have one figured out, buuuut I'll need to torment your other characters as well~ o/)

I'm not very familiar with the way your Arthur usually handles Sealands. In my particular case they usually get along fairly well. I try to downplay the canon animosity and try to play up legitimate human relationships (like, Peter looking up to Arthur as an older brother and role model).
But since this is Nyo!Sealand and they aren't siblings at all, that all goes out the window. I promise she's not a complete monster. ewe

I've only rped a few times with a Sealand, and overall I've noticed that the relationship does tend to be far more positive than not. uvu I prefer focusing on the more human aspects of their relationship as well, but of course, there's always the occasional family friction, fff. But then again, it's the AUs where I always prefer the 'human' interactions over what's portrayed in the nationverse. Then we're all left to our own devices~
So, no worries! I didn't automatically assume that she's a monster, haha. I just went there with that thought because I like the idea of Arthur having no real clue how to handle children and having that awkward, adorkable interaction with them on occasion. uvu

HECK YeAS. DEFINITELY NEED THESE TWO. We can totally skype out how their childhood was like so that we can get all those details in uvu. But yeah totally. One thing that Donald does is that he can be KIND of a hypocrite. While he'll be bothered (to put it lightly) by Arthur's past doings, he'll also feel drawn to Arthur. Arthur's the youngest Kirkland of the 'main' branch and Donald's the oldest |': He's all like, "frick how did this happen" (cough it's in the blood). I can see them taking the stigma though, except the specifics of Donald's case is private--due to the violent nature of it. All that's publicly known is that Donald didn't come clean. They can be looked down upon together ene
And totally true FF I love it. The parallels between the two are great. Kirkland threads usually take an eternity to finish due to the size of the family pff. We can totally thread out a thing with the two of them. I imagine Donald to harbor some conflicted feelings towards the golden boy, just so I can twist this in with N.Ire/England relations. I might need some help figuring out why |D

I like that. =u= I think in general she probably gets along fairly well with family members. She's pretty easily entertained and might get a kick out of asking him endless questions about what kind of cool things he does because everyone else in the family does cool things so he obviously does too. Things must be pretty bad when Arthur's the one that gets the kid and not the people who actually are used to kids. hahaaaa

Nesia-- they both are undercover, so for safety reasons they might not know each other. But they might meet each other in the headquarter. Nesia still undergoes some training, particularly marksmanship. She'll certainly try to talk to him, be nice in general, because half of MI6 are Kirklands and she has met some of them
