He stretched in the glow of the morning light, practically purring at the height of the sun in the sky and the celebration of making it through another night. Daniello was currently residing atop a local residence, having craved the thrill of heights at some late hours into the night and had so found his way to the nearest building that was climbable and had started to scale. He guessed he had just fallen asleep here, the chill in the night not bothering him and the openness comforting. He hadn't been quite alone either, listening to the sounds of the street below him as people came and went and as the residents in the building opened their windows and had dinner or parties or talked. It was like being able to enjoy being quiet without having to be alone; it was perfect.
Besides, it wasn't so bad waking up to the early morning sky and the sounds of the neighborhood as it began to start it's day for those of early patterns. It was peaceful like this, and he sleepily remembered how his home had been something similar, the quiet thrum of the morning hours that left you with a sense of wonder at everything in the world while still letting you know in the background that all was well no matter what.
Daniello stiffly climbed to his feet, glancing around at the rooftop he was on and wondering mildly if he was trespassing and if this was the wrong place to be trespassing. From what he understood from the last time an angry Londoner tried to explain to him why he couldn't be up here, some people didn't like you lounging about on their roofs and were liable to call the police on you. While he was unsure of how much of a problem that would be, Daniello was pretty sure that committing an illegal act wasn't exactly the first step to being a full policeman. Still, you had to admit that it was worth the effort to come up here and see the view. It was as good as the London Eye in his opinion, and this didn't cost money. Although it did cost time and effort and it wasn't often that he found himself up here anyway, especially since the buildings were a lot harder to climb when everyone tried so hard to stop you.
Now the only hard part was figuring out how to get down without getting yelled at by somebody. It wasn't that he exactly minded getting yelled at usually; but he was still kind of fuzzy on whether or not he had to show up at the yard and he was trying to decide if it was better to show up late, or now without the most important meal of the day first. Deciding upon giving himself a lunch break at ten o'clock in the morning, or however early it was, he turned all of his attention to finding a way down and finally settled on a stairwell he found at the corner of the rooftop. It was a relief that he wouldn't have to be sliding down the pipes this early, and he would be able to focus his energy on important things like finding food. Well, he really did need to figure out where he was first.
It was surprisingly easy to navigate the building without any mishaps from the residents, who were mostly friendly old ladies going about their morning life while he scrambled down stairwells and through hallways until he was standing on the street once more. He didn't even pretend that he lived anywhere around here on the ground either, strolling with a bounce to his step and an almost confused smile on his face as he searched for someone who wasn't rushing or coming home from a late night. He was undisturbed upon not finding anyone immediately though, unhurried in his thoughts of having a nice breakfast and a leisurely stroll through some unknown part of the city. Time was merely a suggestion right now anyway, not really something he wanted to listen to when he could just follow the flow of everyone going to work, school, or somewhere in the morning hours. He only disrupted the ease of it when he got to a café, pushing his way with apologetic smiles till he found himself in the doorway.
Of course he didn't know what to do once he was inside either, finding himself just as lost as he was outside. He didn't have much money that he wasn't entirely sure would cover something, and he turned to the nearest person to him, playing with the loose change in his pockets as he tried to add up the amount needed for some breakfast or at least something to drink. "Good morning! Do you happen to know where we are and what time it is?" He spoke with the ease of a naturally outgoing person, unperturbed by the thought of asking a stranger for directions or perhaps starting up a conversation with them in the meantime.
