Lukas it not someone who you will call a social bug, he'd rather be sitting in his lab, doing some research or working on some new potion, or sitting with his nose in one of his books. He does not, by all means, exile all kinds of social contact. He can enjoy having a good chat with someone that's decent and has something between the eyes than just looks or a loud voice. Don't get his cold and uncaring attitude as something negative, for being pretty forward and sometimes harsh with his words, Lukas is also pretty shy when it comes to talk to strangers. Words get stuck in his throat and something cold might come out instead. He might be that as well if you know him, but that's one way to prove that he might do care; he speaks to you after all, doesn't he? Even if he can as well appear pretty harmless thanks to his height and weight, he's not someone you really want to make angry. He's stronger than he looks like, and are good at self-defense, and as a part of a family that hunts, he knows how to handle his weapon as well. He might not resort to violence the first thing he does, but anger him enough and he might threaten you, or in worst case, actually harm you without a warning, depending on what you're doing to him or the people he cares deeply about. Lukas is often seen, almost all the time, to wear a Nordic cross barrette to keep his fringe away from his face, one of the few things he has left from his mother that he has great value in and won't let anyone touch it, he might just hurt you if you do. He has quite the fashion as well, is often seen to be matching his clothes or wearing something that looks good, Lukas would never be caught wearing something that didn't look good, and especially not in joggers, that's the article of clothing he despises with all his might. Lukas wants generally to look good, clothes being a big part of it, as well with his well-kept hair. Trying to look good almost all the time, except for in the mornings when he had just woken up, Because seriously speaking, whom looks good then, especially before their morning coffee? His face can often be described as 'dull', as he is not known for being able to express emotions. He might be able to feel them, but to display them is another thing completely. Often speaking on what's on his mind; yet giving compliments and receiving them is something he has a lot of difficulty in doing, not incapable of doing so. As he proves when he takes care and talk about his brother, whom he's overly protective about, and rarely likes people to be close to him in case they harm him. So if you touch his brother, you might get a very pissed off Norwegian chemist after your ass. |

Nordic Mythology Mythology - Born and raised in Bergen, he had come across a lot of books and studied the mythology while still being in school, and early caught on the charm of it. Books - He always has a book or two on him wherever he's going, and his book collection at home is what he's most proud of. If he doesn't read on his free time, then something is disturbing him. Coffee - No, he has not an addiction.. Or so he says, but don't listen to him, he can't wake up properly in the morning without the delicious beverage. Chemistry - Loving to mix things up, create something out of other elements and see the reaction. Winter - Even if he's not too found of the cold, he loves winter. That means he can go out and ski, and enjoy the snow he likes so much. Magical creatures - He's silly enough that he wants to believe they exist, even if he just reads about them, he still holds fascination towards them. Playing his Violin - It calms him down, he's been playing it since early years, and it brings back a lot of memories. He's quite good at it, and can play for ages, with or without sheets to play after. His Brother - He loves his brother with all his heart, a bit too overprotective sometimes, but no one can really blame him. | Loud people - Lukas likes his peace and calm, and loud people just annoys him to no end. Early Mornings - Lukas it not a morning person at all, and to get him to wake up before the sun has set on the horizon, he needs a good amount of coffee for that. Cold - Even if he loves winter, Lukas despises cold with a deep passion, it's just annoying, even if it's comfortable to wear nice jumpers. Instant coffee - It taste bad and are an annoying invention that should not exist, it's a disgrace to be called coffee. Going a day without coffee - He gets grumpy, moody and really irritated for nothing. Meddling people - Those who mind other business and are trying to ruin it for him, Lukas won't show mercy to those. |

Get the noble prize in chemistry - Who doesn't want to earn the famous Noble Prize in something you love to do? He just needs to find the right thing to get it to. Get a family - He might not look like or act the common family man, but he desires one day to get kids and a loving partner that he can share that with, as he, despite all odds, loves kids. Not right away, as he's still young and wants to live his life for a bit. Make Eirík healthy - One day, he wants to find the cure to his brothers sickness, so he can too live a normal life and not be sick, Lukas want his brother to enjoy life without any hindrance. Reach Valhalla - It might sound childish and not too clever in most peoples head, but thanks to Lukas deep passion for Nordic Mythology, he wants to reach Valhalla when he dies. To dine with his ancestors | Let someone he holds dear die - He had already have that happened to him once, and he would never want it to happen again, so Lukas will make sure his loved one's are safe. The world running out of coffee - Can you even imagine something worse than that? Fail one of his missions - Failing is not an option, Lukas strives for perfection, if it isn't perfect, it's not good enough. And fail himself, and the people around him is a great fear he did not want to ever feel again. That one day Eirík might not be there anymore - Lukas do not want to outlive his brother, and he's doing everything in his power to make sure he lives longer than Lukas. |
Background |
Lukas knew from the beginning that he had not been planned to be born. The pregnancy of his mother had been a shock for her and her husband when they where on a checkup for her. Illness, being cranky and other things that had made her unable to work for a few weeks, so they had to check up what it really was about, as he had been disturbed by the lack of work that had been done during that time. As the doctors came back with the results, they where both positive and negative shocked. They had always wanted a kid, neither could disagree on that, but the timing had not been the best. Her mother had a big case coming up, and his father was going away to Italy for a couple of weeks to take care of some business related things. Her mother had to say no to the case, and yet his father had gone, despite the pleads from her to stay, and yet they both knew he was unable to. And then Lukas was born, an no parents could be prouder of the kid they held in their arms. He was small, born three weeks before he should, and yet he was healthy as any kid should be born. Mother insisted on going home early, even if they had to stay two days for observation to make sure the child was okay, premature born and everything could be negative as well. But as he didn't show any signs of being affected negative by it, they where released and could go back home. The first years when he was young wasn't something Lukas remember, but people liked to tell him how careful and loving his parents where towards him. As his mother would stay home and take care of him the first months after his birth, she where rarely without the child, and barely letting her own parents take care of him so she could be away from him, as she loved him. And yet when she had to go back to work, she welcomed it as well. Even if she appreciated and loved Lukas, she also loved their work and was happy to get back to it. His father was rarely home to meet him, no one really knew if he tried or not, but he was not a big part of Lukas life. And yet Lukas was too small to really understand it at that time, but even today, he knew that he was lonely. Parents rarely home, and if they where, they had work. They tried to give him a small token of affection once in a while. They tried to give him affection, even if they rare had time. Father bringing various artifacts from all around the world; sometimes Lukas got to follow as well, when he was a kid, because kid always scored good with the other employees. Especially someone that was as quiet and had good manners as Lukas, the kid very rarely cried, and if he did, everyone knew it was seriously. At the age of 7, a part of his world disappeared when a man came to his home to announce the thing that changed all of Lukas; his mother had died. She had been working on a case, and everyone knew that he was married to a rich, prestigious man, and said case involved getting this mafia boss behind bars. So his followers did the thing that would destroy a kid, and probably a lot more; they killed her when she was getting home from work. Lukas never really recovered from that shock, he loved his mother dearly, and it changed him. His interest for chemistry had probably always been there, he loved to mix various drinks, soda drinks of course, or experiment with his food, or overall with things. In school, he aced the chemistry and biology classes so well he took advanced classes, and even had to jump a year in school thanks to his intelligence. Almost no friends in school, he was a loner, yet he wasn't bullied, people found his dull personality and expressionless face scary, and no one wanted to bother him, and rather left him alone, which suited him fine. And since he had little friends, he always had a book with him to read and study. His love for the Vikings and the Nordic Mythology has always been in a top interest, being Norwegian and having Vikings as ancestors, it's not hard to get devoted to it. Reading books about magic and the magical creatures, maybe he doesn't look like a fantasy type of loving person, but he is. Wishing that magic where real, and dragons was a pet one could own; and yet he knew it is a dream, but that didn't stop him from dreaming about it. The same year he turned 9, he felt betrayed by his father. He had picked another girl to replace his mum, whom he knew that she would never be able to; and he hated her with all his might. She was pregnant as well, meaning he would get a sibling, and he would hate that one too, he had decided before meeting both of them. Yet his thoughts about the woman had been right, she didn't even look in Lukas direction when she met him for the first time, and the wedding was everything he did not want it to be, and even more angry was he at first when she got a kid. Maybe he was angry and wanted to hate his new brother because his father had tried to replace his mum, but as soon he put his eyes on the sick and small kid, he could not bring himself to hate him. From the moment Eirík got home, Lukas could not do anything else than take care of his brother. Pushing away the maids and butler who wanted to help, Lukas didn't trust anyone else to really take care of him properly. Always by his side if he needed anything, making sure he was feeling alright, Eirík was the reason he wanted to continue, and the reason he could feel something for another human again after his mother had died. He was also the reason why Lukas wanted to pursue a career as a biochemist, he wanted to help his brother get healthy, and get a normal life, like he himself had. As brilliant as he was in classes, he graduated from high-school when he was 17, and jumped right into university on the scholarship he received thanks to his grades, despite having to jump over a class. His university of chose was also picked so he could live home and continue to take care of Eirík, as he graduated from there when he was 22. After finishing university, he decided to work a bit in Norway before he wanted to extend further. Noble Prize was still in his mind, as well as get Eirík and other sick children healthy. And since his father didn't really care much about them, he took his brother with him and moved to London, to continue there, and see where it would take him. |

The sunsets where always more beautiful than the sunrises in Lukas opinion, they always left the sky in a different orange colour than the morning sun provided them with, and left the sky with a complete darkness, except for the moon and the stars that illuminated the sky. Lukas liked the night more than the day, maybe because he knew that he could be left alone during the night if he was awake, he had time for his brother, and the silence that followed was to his liking. A cup of coffee in his hand as he sat on the steps outside the building to his workplace, liking the silence that was around the building. He had worked over tonight, not a surprise, and yet he had sent a text to Eirík to go to bed on time, which he doubted he would do as well. Lukas would plan to scold him, and yet he would forget it when he got home as the other probably hadn't eaten, so he had to fix something for him, and then he would forget to scold him when his brother used his charm, as usual. "Staying late again, Mr. Bondevik?" Looking up as he saw his boss standing there. Not his Boss for the lab he was really working it, but the Boss for the research team. "As usual." His Boss replied before sitting down next to him, a little bit away from him on the side where the wind wasn't blowing towards Lukas. "Do you mind?" He asked, and Lukas shook his head, his Boss had after all thought about this as bit, as he watched him lit up his fag to take a drag from it. It was still quiet around them, Lukas had been there in the morning to plan for tomorrow, where he would start developing that new type of gunpowder they wanted, one that was more explosive and stunned the targets instead of hurting them, too much, a challenge Lukas was eager to begin. "I still haven't heard when you want the product to be finished." Never speaking openly about his other job; in case the streets had ears and a lawless was hiding in the bushes. Not that anyone would ever suspect that Lukas was involved in something like this; he did certainly not look like the type. "As soon as possible, preferably before the end of the year." He joked, and Lukas just snorted at it, a bit annoyed that he couldn't take this seriously. "By the end of the month." Lukas promised, if he hadn't finished by then, he would be disappointed in himself, and work day and night until he was finished. Slowly standing up, looking over the empty streets where a few people was walking now and then, late workers as well, or just friends whom was having a good time together, not a rare sight withing the city, yet Lukas was always suspicious against people, no one ever knew whom was on their side, or a lawless. Putting his hands in his pockets as he didn't turn around, he just started to walk. "See you on Sunday." He simply told his Boss, and he could even hear the smile in his voice. "Yes, and say Hi to your brother from me." Nodding, Lukas knew that he could see his motions clear from where he was sitting, so there was no need for more words; he simply raised his hand to give him a short wave as a goodbye before he walked away from there. With long steps for such a small and thin body, to get him home to where he guessed his brother was waiting. His mind vaguely thinking up how he would scold him, yet he knew deep inside he couldn't do it; his brother was his weak point, and that was probably the way it was gonna stay forever. |
