Elliot felt hungry, he stared at the apple, that seemed to tempt him with its glow, he held it in his hand, then tossed it into the small basket. He looked at the leeks and potato’s then pumpkin flowers which were also very delicious. His grandma would cut many of those wild flowers sense she managed to have a pumpkin plant in the backyard, and she would cook him a very exquisite golden colored soup. It would always have a warm rich salty flavor similar to brown chicken gravy but less strong. He stared at them reminiscing the memory, then continued his search, one day he would make himself that soup again, but for now he preferred something else like Basmati rice.
There was a lot to choose from in the market place, they weren’t exaggerating when it was mentioned that they had food from all over the place. He observed the red bell peppers, the orange tangerines, the asparagus, white cauliflower, yams brown, and red and orange, green beans, rhubarbs, and other fruits and veggies. He picked two items at random, thinking about what he was going to cook for himself. Lots of ideas went through his head, but none that he could afford. He didn’t have much, and he wanted to have spare change for the bus and any other objects or things he would need. His stomach growled with intensity, he hoped that the people standing next to him could not hear it.
The market place was full of noise, as people were busy seeking their own nourishment.
Elliot felt his mouth water when he stood in front of the seafood stand. He figured maybe he could afford at least one fish, he need more than just apple sauce, and basmati rice, he figured he could try and flavor the rice up with a few veggies, and spices he still had in the fridge. So yeah, he could afford a fish, at least one… he eyed the fish that were spread across the stand. Then he thought better of it… and settled for a can of tuna, he didn’t have enough for more, so tuna would be okay. He paid for his veggies and rice then made his way to the shops, it would be better to buy tuna for now, as long as he prepared it with the spices necessary it wouldn’t be so bad.
Hmm… he wondered what he was going to do for later. The day seemed long and none of the neighbor’s had asked him to fix anything… he allowed his mind to go aloof. Then the house was not really messy. He kind hoped to be called to go to the lab to fix something still he did have that poetry book waiting for him, so he could take the time to read it, if he was not called to go to the lab. He paced aimlessly, yet all the same making his way to exit the market place, he looked ahead of him then felt his neck jerk backwards, when he roughly bumped into something(Sera) making his apple, bag of rice, and carrot fall scattering over the ground, along with another person and her belongings.
He looked at the stranger, her brown ponytail a little messy. “Oh, I am sorry, Miss,” Noah quickly replied. He bent down his left hand picking up what seemed like a wallet, and his right hand extended his hand to help her to her feet. “I am sorry, Miss, did I hurt you?” he handed her what he assumed was her wallet. “Here let me help you,” he bent down proceeding to pick up her scattered belongings. He didn’t bother looking at her face sense he assumed she would be angry.
