[cs=3] Personality | ||
[cs=3] -Outgoing: Sadiq isn’t a shy person at all. He’s willing to go out and speak to people that he has never met. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why he makes a decent agent, but his extroverted nature is something that both helps and harms him in different ways. He’s able to receive more intelligence by exerting his open manners, by making small talk, and knowing just what to say and how to say it. -Show off, Overconfident: Obviously, Sadiq’s a pretty confident guy. However, his ego is bigger than one might expect. He’s not one to trash somebody else because of it, but he has the tendency to make the occasional comment that turns away the more reasonable people. Sadiq is always willing to show off his talents and skills, making a competition of it. He’s happy with himself and who he is, and he’s not afraid to show it off. -Competitive: He’s incredibly competitive by nature. If you challenge him, there’s no way he’ll back down and say no. Even if it puts him at risk, Sadiq will take the challenge and will do his best to defeat the opposition. Whether he gains anything from the challenge matters not; he gets satisfaction from knowing that he took down an enemy, and the pride of that is fulfilling enough for him. Though that’s not to say that his competitiveness usually brings him to his downfall; it’s actually useful, and the motivation behind most of what he does. -Domineering: Sadiq can be overbearing at times. Though he’s pretty calm at most times, whenever his stubbornness kicks in, he can get pretty angry and controlling over it. Just like anybody else, he likes to have his way. When he thinks that he’s losing, he’ll kick it up a notch in order to get things as he wants them. He’s rarely bossy unless he knows that he has to be a certain way to get people to listen to him. However, it’s rare for him to have to resort to being so brutish. -Cheerful, Optimistic: Sadiq is a generally happy soul. He’s not too worried about death or violence or losing, unlike most of his colleagues. He tends to look on the bright side of things. The cup of coffee to his right is always half full instead of half empty. Though he does have his down times, he’s able to spring back to life and be himself in no time. One of his major talents is being an entertainer, whether that’s from making a fool of himself to just being a “nice guy”. -Nosy, Meddlesome: Sadiq wants to know what’s going on in the world. If he doesn’t already know, then there’s probably something wrong—which is why he absolutely has to know what is going on in the M16, the opposition, the Government, the world… He has to know. He’s sly about picking up his information, often straggling around bars and the darker parts of London to get some of his intelligence. It’s not a big deal, but if he overhears something interesting, you had better tell him what’s going on. Take note that he doesn’t really care for the normal things in life; he has a journalist’s ears and eyes and takes interest in only the things of bigger importance. -Talkative: If you give him the time to warm up to you, chances are, he’ll talk your ears off. It’ll mostly be just senseless prattle, though if there’s something serious to be said, he’ll start off in a low, hushed voice over a glass of liquor. He’s able to talk fairly quickly, whether in English or in his native tongue, which is good for repeating information to someone while still walking to someplace else. If he’s irritated, he’ll be a lot worse about his speed of speaking than usual and won’t stop to clarify. -Stubborn: This man is hard-headed through and through. He holds fast to what he believes in at the moment and will fight for whatever it is if he finds the cause well enough. Sadiq doesn’t give up easily, though his can harm him at times due to just how much he can grow to be obsessed with something… He doesn’t give up on someone or something until he’s won it or convinced someone else that’s something is true. Unless he was already unsure of something, it’s almost impossible to sway him. -Vigorous: Though the main driving force of his energy is coffee, Sadiq naturally has a lot of energy in his being. If one word were to describe him in his entirety, it’d be “restless”. Sadiq is one to continuously be moving from place to place, whether in missions or mood or what have you. He’s continuously shifting in his seat while listening to someone else talk or he’s pacing around the room while attempting to concentrate. He might be described as being negligent or careless by others. -Easily-Irritable: It’s true that Sadiq has a bit of a temper. He’s only riled so easily if he hasn’t had his coffee or a smoke in a while, but whenever he is irritated, he’ll get snappy at whoever offended him. He’s more prone to cursing and slamming things in frustration in this state. He’s also famous for hurting himself when angry. -Charismatic: In short, Sadiq is a charmer. He uses his personality to profit, whether said profit is intelligence, money, what have you. He’s a smooth talker, a rather cheeky bloke. He’s one to seem more independent from others and, thus, a leader. Sadiq always appears to be on top of his game even during the most stressful times. You could say that this is his mask. -Aggravating: Due to his personality, Sadiq is seen by many to be quite irritating. Be it his nosiness or his bad habit of smoking, someone can always see something wrong with him. He asks too many questions, smokes too much, talks too quickly, is too egotistical, and flirts too much. He’s not bothered by his colleagues’ opinions too much, however. | ||

-Smoking: There’s no doubt about it; Sadiq loves his cancer sticks and his hookah. More often than not, he’ll have a package of cigarettes on his person at all times. Though he loves his hookah, he obviously can’t carry that around with him all day, now can he? -Coffee: For the longest time, Sadiq has been addicted to coffee. He can’t function in the morning without at least two cups of sugar-and-cream-loaded coffee. He tends to drink it in his spare time as well, even if he doesn’t need the energy boost. -Football: Doesn’t everybody love football? Sadiq sure does. Obviously, his favorite team is his home team, and boy does he get LOUD when they’re playing—especially if they’re playing Greece. Sadiq makes bets that his team will win, and this is how he’ll lose money or be forced to do something humiliating… Still, he keeps his faith in his Turks! -Fashion: Though he may not always exhibit this trait outwardly, Sadiq is keen on the latest fashions. He knows what’s hot and what’s not, probably due to all of the time he spends running around London. His life isn’t centered around it, obviously, but he’s one prone to making the offhand comment occasionally about what his fellow agents wear. He’ll try to fix your fashion mistakes for you if you let him. -Specs: Sadiq has a thing for glasses, especially sunglasses. Though he only needs glasses for reading, he wears non-prescription sunglasses almost constantly. They’re usually odd visor sunglasses or otherwise hide a lot of his face, though it’s almost unnecessary due to London’s usual weather. Still, he wears them. He thinks they make him look cool. | -Losing: Sadiq will go ballistic if he loses at something. Whether he loses a bet, a case, money, or just misplaces something, it bothers him to have messed up at something. He’s almost a perfectionist at that point, but he’s not OCD about it. He’ll just make sure that he achieves his goals later, even if he has to play dirty. -Quiet: He dislikes having to be quiet for an extended period of time. Sure, he can sit there without saying a word if he wants to, but if he’s being held by the M16 against his will and wants out, he’ll be whining and asking questions and, more than likely, joking around. If something isn’t lively enough, he’ll try to mess around until other people are laughing with him. -Hypocrites: Though in some ways he could be described as a hypocrite himself, Sadiq is irritated by people who say some people shouldn’t do this or that but then do it themselves. Being a pretty liberal man himself, he’s angered by people being so oppressed by others. Still, he has a tendency to break his own principles when he feels it’s for the “greater good”. -Liars: Sadiq has to lie himself to get by, but it’s part of his job. Major lies, however, put him on edge. He doesn’t like plotting out a new life for himself through a web of lies and he doesn’t like to watch others do so either. -Routine: Sadiq isn’t one for routine. He likes to mix things up every now and then. Every day is different for him, and that’s how he likes it. This is why he joined the agency, after all. Sadiq and monotony don’t work well together. | -Being alone: Well, that’s pretty much predictable, isn’t it? He’s an extrovert; a people person. It’s not the end of the world if he manages to find himself alone, but it’s not the most pleasant experience for him. -Falling: Sadiq isn’t fond of the feeling of falling. He’s not afraid of heights whatsoever—just the feeling he gets in his stomach when he’s suddenly not on stable ground. -Failing a mission: Mostly, he’s scared of what the M16 would do to him if he failed a major assignment. This is why he has the tendency of being a perfectionist when it comes to orders. He may play around along the way, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get the job done. |

[cs=3] History |
[cs=3] For the longest time, Sadiq and his single father lived in a place that not many people would willingly choose to live in. His father certainly didn’t decide that; his income chose the neighborhood for him. Formerly, Sadiq, his three younger sisters and his little brother, his parents, and his grandparents all lived together in the more pleasant side of Istanbul. However, after his grandparents, mother, and one of his sisters died in what could only be described as a mass shooting, Sadiq’s father struggled to pay the bills for the house, and eventually lost what they had. His father tried to get the best place he could afford but didn’t qualify for much, so off to that wretched neighborhood it was. Sadiq and his younger siblings learned to get along, but not until another tragedy hit their family; the older of the Adnan sisters had been addicted to heroin and died of a terrible infection. This left the Adnan family with a struggling single father, two barely-teenagers, and Sadiq to fight off their sadness. After that, Sadiq’s father didn’t much try to get close to his kids. Sadiq’s brother went off to join the army as soon as he reached age and their sister dropped out of school. It was Sadiq, however, who didn’t; he pushed himself to graduate on time. And he did, though it took a lot of effort on his part. The young man’s goal was to be on the good side of the world; he wanted to have a higher purpose than sitting at home and taking care of his alcoholic father. He wanted to be a policeman, or the president of Turkey, or a spy—a spy for the greater good. It was the latter that he eventually reached, though it was hard, considering that he never had enough money to go to college, and thus, hard to get any job at all. Especially not one as prestigious as one to protect the crown… Sadiq wasn’t hired for his grades in school or his money. It was, rather, his personality and his ability to gather information that interested the M16. The agency recognized Sadiq as one who isn’t afraid to go out of his way, think outside of the box, or cross any lines in order to do what needed to be done, and somebody, somewhere along the chain of command deemed him worthy enough to join the ranks of their men. Sadiq joined, obviously, and worked his way up to a position of great importance. (Also, Sadiq rejects the name "Butterball" as his codename. He got it because he has the tendency to eat and cook things with a lot of butter in them. The higher ups thought it'd be funny to call a Turkish man Butterball, and it stuck.) |
